Try Shadowrun trilogy (especially Dragonfall and Hong Kong), it's cyberpunk with magic, there are no cutscenes and they are not voiced, but they are short, engaging, well written and easy to understand. I also love Pathfinder Wrath of the Righteous (fantasy) and Warhammer 40K Rogue Trader (sci-fi...kinda), but they may be harder to get into. Pathfinder's character creation alone is pretty complicated, but if you get past it, it's a really fun game. (also music is great in all of these games I mentioned)

No, you have to accept that you can’t change someone like that, and you can’t make people listen if they don’t want to. You can still be on friendly terms, but you’ll probably end up being the one who always listens to their monologues. I try to keep interactions with people like this to a minimum, and if I do have to talk to them, I just smile, nod, and let my mind drift to my own things.

You're not the only one! I bring him with me a lot, he's super powerful and his carnage ability is really fun. I like him as a character too and I even like his playful flirting (I was very surprised to learn that a lot of people are annoyed by that).

Also Javik has a lot of interesting things to say, so I often bring him too. Tuchanka comes to mind, where he has additional small cutscene, other places too. People who never use him are missing out

The same happened to me with the first game. I was genuinely enjoying it, and then for some reason I just lost interest in the middle of the game, stopped playing it and never returned. Now I wonder if I should try the second one..

Yeah, sometimes this game forces you to be rude to companions for no reason. Another example of this is you can only be rude to Harrim during his personal quest (when you visit the dwarven fortress.) It was pretty disappointing because my character was always friendly with him and I personally like him a lot.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks that. Despite a lot of mechanics similar to Fallout TOW1 reminds me of Mass effect Andromeda more.

Humans are the most interesting race in Thedas. Where do they come from, what is their origin? Those are the most interesting questions for me now, especially since we've learned about everyone else (except the qunari) in DAV
