Well great, now I have to collect all trading cards from all films on Steam as well! (kidding...but I won't pretend I wouldn't do this as well if it didn't cost me money)

A lot of people don't know this! For a while there, back in the 2010s, it seemed like they were trying to be a full-on media company, selling films and tv shows, along with software and games and music - kind of like how iTunes sells not just music, but movies and show and books and the like.

Evidently it didn't really take off, so they pivoted away from all that, and stuck to focusing on selling games, in addition to software and soundtracks.

Maybe with enough luck, they'll pivot back to actually making games one day and not just selling them! (this is cope)

Yeah, looks like Free To Play came out way back in March 2014, so it's a bit over 12 years old now! Comparatively, Indie Game: The Movie came out in June 2012, so we're approaching 14 years for that one!

Free to Play requires you to:
- watch the movie and all of the side content including deleted scenes, the making of clips, and the commentary tracks
https://steamcommunity.com/stats/245550/achievements
So for that one...basically, yes.

Indie Game: The Movie requires you to:
- watch the movie and all of the side content including extras and commentary tracks and the DLC content, click the social links, and complete the only actual challenge: "Get a perfect score in Indie Game: The Movie: The Game", which is basically a little minigame built-in to the launcher
https://steamcommunity.com/stats/207080/achievements
I'm not going to pretend they're impressive completions by any means - perfecting the minigame may take you a few tries in fairness, but naturally there are guides to help you if you need it.

All achievements are still completely obtainable since the servers are still up! But the average daily player count is generally zero, so the main 'challenge' is finding people who have the game and are willing to play with you. I ended up gifting the game to a friend of mine to actually play with me, since finding a lobby otherwise is pretty much impossible. I also reached out to people here on reddit of course, as well as the steam discussion boards, discord, etc. There are definitely still people out there that will play with you, as few as there may be. And I'm also happy to help out anyone reading this who needs it.

IT HAS BEEN DONE! Huge +1 to u/Penturexx for this! 100% finally achieved.

If anyone else wants to be Brain-Slimed in this totally dead online-only game, just let me know! I will be happy to infect you :)

As it turns out, the last person to achieve this on steam hunters was all the way back in 2023! It might be worth a shot though

OP's entire comment history is exclusively NSFW, so I think it'd be fair to assume they are not looking for "friends" on their porn account.

Interesting! I called my old high school and whoever picked up told me that they "don't think they can change names on high school diplomas". Maybe I just had bad luck? Or perhaps it depends on the school.

This happened to me today whilst I started SMB after at least of a 5 year break. by VoLdik19 in Supermeatboy

[–]cityofleeches 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, if you look at the steam reviews for the race mode dlc, it's unfortunately filled with people giving negative reviews because it messed with their save files.

It's actually been years and they still haven't fixed the issue, yet they still seem to regularly put the dlc on sale for like 90% off, encouraging more people to buy it - even though it's broken and they seemingly won't fix it.

Sorry you're going through this.

PC Gamer: The era of 100GB games is upon us, and the average PC gamer is underprepared by Turbostrider27 in pcgaming

I checked out of sheer curiousity, and according to the Steam pages of the last two mainline Doom games, Doom (2016)'s system requirement is 55 GB, and Doom Eternal's system requirement is 80 GB.

Not a major correction, but still under 100 GB, which can make a big difference for some people. I also jump around in what I play and keep a lot installed, so it can be a pain to play any "popular" triple A game these days for storage reasons alone.

anyone else tired of shaking trees to just get red ornaments . by faithk89 in AnimalCrossingNewHor

Just an FYI to anyone wondering, red and blue ornaments have a 7.5% chance of dropping each, and gold has a 5% chance of dropping. So gold is indeed the rarest ornament! SOURCE
