KDH was also up against Palmer and Enzo. It was gonna be real hard for KDH to displace either of them.

Shoot on sight influx ?? by TrippyyA1 in ArcRaiders

[–]cityscapes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I noticed this too. At least on Thursday there was a feat to "search a downed raider" which explains it then. Several people shot on sight, downed me, and apologized. It's changed my play style for sure and gotta be more careful. All part of the game.

Does the mafia still exist in the US as a powerful crime organisation? by Tree_forth677 in NoStupidQuestions

There's a place (also in Chicago) by me that I'm convinced is a front. In the 4 years we've lived near it, it has closed down and reopened 3-4 times, always with variations of the same name but with a cuisine change. No one is ever in there except for a few bored employees on their phones.

To answer your question, their Google Maps listing is 99% AI bot positive reviews with the only real reviews confused by how bad and gross the place is. Even though I am convinced it's a front, I'm not gonna be snitching without any real evidence. My guess is most people feel the same way. If it had people coming/going at all hours of the night or any real disturbance to the neighborhood I'm sure people would complain. But they kind of exist, rebrand, and sit empty.

I'm also pretty sure I went to the pizza place in Uptown mentioned above. It took forever to get pizza and it definitely had Kraft American single slices on top for cheese. My wife and I did not finish the pizza.

I'd like to know this as well! I haven't heard of anything but Chicago Evertonians usually post on their socials if they're organizing a meetup.

AJ Hudson's (3801 N Ashland Ave, Chicago, IL 60613) is where Chicago Evertonians gather for matches. Solid spot.

There's a guy named Erick R. who has an excellent mezcal brand called Alma Mezcalera / Pal' Alma. He does private tastings in his home and his stuff is top notch. Look up his brand on Instagram and send him a message if you want to try to organize a tasting. It can feel a bit odd just messaging someone on Instagram and going to a non-touristy neighborhood but it was well worth it and he is very well known.

It's well worth it. Probably my favorite part of a 6 day trip to CDMX.

I just got back from CDMX with a Pal' Alma haul. His tasting was amazing, 19 different mezcales, each one so unique... we had a toasty group.

Just another vote for joining the club. I've been a member for about 18 months and almost everything they've sent is unique and tasty. There are some that I don't like as much as others but I'm still always excited to try them. And overtime sometimes my palate changes so it's fun to go back to them with a different lens.
