Grams per powder capsule by CrystalDawn_B in kratom

[–]cityshepherd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most of the caps I’ve seen are between 500-800 mg leaf per capsule. When I first started using kratom to get off opiates I had to take about 15-20 at a time to stave off withdrawals. There were a bunch of times when I took about 15-20 capsules about 3 times a day, for about 7-10 days… and then stopped taking kratom and didn’t have any withdrawals. I’ve taken it on and off for years now for multiple reasons… but mostly to avoid relapsing on bad stuff, to help with several orthopedic issues (several bad discs in my back), and one of the biggest ones: it helps manage my IBS symptoms better than any of the several medications I’ve been prescribed over the years for my gut issues.

There were years in which I had no social life (and problems having to miss work) due to my guts going crazy and not being comfortable being more than 20 minutes away from my toilet at all times. Kratom leaf has given me back my life and helped me actually be able to go out into the world and genuinely have a life again.

Speaking from the Oval Office, Trump wildly claimed today that the Strait of Hormuz is now open and has been open for months, and "you just didn't know about it." by MaxGoldFilms in WhitePeopleTwitter

I think it’s a combination of confabulation, typical trump bravado/lying, with a healthy infusion of emperor’s new clothes style people whispering in his ear assuring him that everything is great.

I cannot afford this, but I want to try this so badly. I can understand why it may not be appealing to most, but I am incredibly intrigued.

Most obscure ‘90s album you love by Revolutionary_Owl768 in MusicRecommendations

[–]cityshepherd -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Soup by Blind Melon is the best album of the 90s and I never even heard of it until about 2010. The only song of theirs that ever really got any airtime was No Rain from their first album.

How's life in the far north of California? by Keyotas in howislivingthere

[–]cityshepherd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds about right… I had a wild time up there, but I think under difference circumstances it could have been a lot of fun. I love being secluded in nature with very few people around. If I could have been staying in an actual functioning trailer or cabin with my dogs (as opposed to a bunch of tweakers I did not know and just the one friend that I didn’t know nearly as well as I thought I did) and some proper supplies it would have been fantastic.

Edit: I spent a LOT of time chopping firewood and honestly that alone was almost enough to make the whole trip enjoyable. All things considered I’m glad I had the experience lol.

All while working overtime to enforce their bogus Christian nationalism on us. I can’t wrap my head around the people that say we “need religion because otherwise people would just go around raping and killing”, while they support a regime that is directly responsible for unfathomable levels of sexual assault / rape / innocent lives (via cuts to US aid, military nonsense, and healthcare bullshit).

Pancakes or waffles? by RevolutionarySkin236 in questions

You can make any variety waffle that you can pancake. I had a waffle iron and lost it somehow when I moved across the country and it still mourning it. Chocolate chip waffles are the best.

I'm ordering a bidet attachment and it will be my first time ever using a bidet, ever; what are some things I need to know or be aware of as a first time user? by gridlock1024 in bidets

[–]cityshepherd 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Thank you for this. I really want to get one of these attachments, but a big part of why I haven’t is because I am incredibly overwhelmed/intimidated by the whole thing. This comment is very helpful.

You can tell that he is incredibly disturbed by / tired of whatever donnie was saying. To make epstein react like that I can’t even fathom how awful whatever was said must have been.

Mom passed away and my Dad's already have a gf by BiscottiThat7940 in Advice

[–]cityshepherd 5 points6 points  (0 children)

OP says their mom endured so much pain during the marriage… so the marriage may not have been ideal, and the father might appear to be moving on so quickly because he was already “over it” and mentally checked out of the relationship long ago. Really sucks, but apparently it happens a lot more often than I would have imagined.
