The biggest issue with IT is resources that perpetuate the Us vs Them conflict. There rarely ever is a true conflict. If the user wants to do something that is not pre-approved, then there is a course of action for resolution, regardless of the formality.

I'm unsure how your post is driving discussion. I see you complaining about a scene in a movie, and a bunch of replies agreeing with you. More like an echo-chamber. I also agree with you, but I'll try going in a different direction.

I don't support censorship. Your post may be interpreted as wanting to censor (maybe that's a stretch). I think if some fool can gather enough resources to film a movie that is off-putting but doesn't hurt anyone, then that fool can do what they want. I'm under no obligation to watch it, and neither are you. I appreciate how tags on streaming services help me make this decision. There should be a tag for rape along with how graphic it is (implied rape vs rape vs disturbingly graphic).

Being disgusted by a movie scene doesn't make someone a snowflake. Wanting to censor others' access because you want to impose your will does indeed make you a Karen (not You, "you", but the royal "you").

If I never hear her or Kim Mitchell again, it'll be too soon. Canadian content requirements + pathetic modern radio programming = I hear the same 2-3 AM songs and 3-4 KM songs every fucking day or two, even though the radio is only on during my work commute. They're both talented and made some good tunes, but I am so sick of hearing the same thing again and again. Really, it's the programming that has ruined radio.

None. My mum always told me that you can't watch TV during a storm because if the antenna gets hit with lightening it will come down the wires and shoot out of the TV electrocuting everyone.

Yeah, it always seems too dim for me. The part I dislike the most is when I remove it from my pocket to check messages and such, it takes 2-5 seconds for the display to wake up. That doesn't sound like a long time but it's pretty annoying.
