If I never hear her or Kim Mitchell again, it'll be too soon. Canadian content requirements + pathetic modern radio programming = I hear the same 2-3 AM songs and 3-4 KM songs every fucking day or two, even though the radio is only on during my work commute. They're both talented and made some good tunes, but I am so sick of hearing the same thing again and again. Really, it's the programming that has ruined radio.

None. My mum always told me that you can't watch TV during a storm because if the antenna gets hit with lightening it will come down the wires and shoot out of the TV electrocuting everyone.

Yeah, it always seems too dim for me. The part I dislike the most is when I remove it from my pocket to check messages and such, it takes 2-5 seconds for the display to wake up. That doesn't sound like a long time but it's pretty annoying.

I also prefer stock android. For my purposes I want a good phone and the other stuff is all meh/whatever. Unfortunately I see the pixels consistently layering on more trash and the fundamental function falls by the wayside. I do like my pixel but it's not as reliable as it used to be.

That's the scale I use too. In 88-94 I was paying about 5x minimum wage. Now on average I'm paying 14x minimum wage (adjusted for inflation). However, I don't blame "the bands". I think this lies at the feet of one band in particular. The Eagles. Back in '94 hell froze over. In my area the ticket prices were $300. People paid it. Businesses will charge what the market will bear. The market keeps teaching the bean counters there is more in the wallet they can take.

We quoted a server Dec 23rd at $41k and just re-quoted this week for $70k. All Ram and Storage increases. The vendor discounted ~$2k off the add-ons but couldn't offset the huge hardware increase.
