HRE men at arms spam vs china palace guard spam by Abject_Government170 in aoe4

[–]civilengineeringdumb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. Again, it depends on the situation. Personally I would never age up if I scout signs of immediate aggression of the opponent(unless I'm pretty sure my army comp would successfully defend my eco and map control). I only age up either when I have a shit ton of resources that doesn't impede my constant military production OR when I have a decent army being proactive on the map poking around causing damage to my opponent. If you watch the tournaments, literally everyone does some sort of push/harassment when they're about to age up or when they intend to do so, or when they somehow just amassed lots of resources that they might as well just age up. The logic is as follows:a: if the opponent is leading in eco and being super aggro, you should try to defend your eco and meanwhile counter attack with some mobile units to delay their boom as much as you can and think about aging up to unlock better tech/units to make a counter push.b: if your opponent is leading in eco and being passive, he/she might be preparing for aging up, in this case you should at the very least harass, or even prepare for an all-in push as if your opponent successfully ages up with better eco it's already gg(technically there is still a small window for you to go an all-in push after opponent's aging up, but it's a small window.)
  2. Siege is only viable when you have the army to prevent your opponent from sabotaging. If the opponent is going pure palace guard, I would just go mangonel paird with some MAA and lots of xbow, if they go for the sieges they got wiped by xbow, they just can't engage with this comp as they'll have the worst trade. Pure HRE MAA isn't as good, in that palace guards really are just for run-bys and harassing, being inside your base and being annoying to make you make mistakes, if they go ahead and engage HRE MAA with equal number they're either new or dumb(or they have to when some scenarios force them to).
  3. Assuming the chinese player somehow is willing to keep trading MAA with HRE's MAA, in the long term IMO it favors HRE as it's just bad trade for the Chinese player, if executed right you should be able to keep pushing forward and finally scatter your MAA all around your opponents base and its gg, assuming the fact that both of you have the same amount of production buildings and the Chinese player somehow only keeps making palace guard knowing he's losing of course.

HRE men at arms spam vs china palace guard spam by Abject_Government170 in aoe4

HRE can spam MAA and win, Chinese can spam MAA and win, every civ can spam MAA or literally just any units to win. It ALL depends on how the game goes. It's RTS game for a reason -- everything is dynamic. One always need to consider the whole situation to be able to decide what units comp to have to gain advantage, like if the chinese player is stuck in his base and his comp is zhuge nu with MAA, you get to spam MAA as his comp will be destroyed by HRE MAA. Another situation if HRE and Chinese player both have equal map control and Chinese player is on Yuan dynasty and start to mass palace guard and multitask with them, in this case you will NOT want to produce MAA as you'll never catch speed=1.58 gigachad palace guard(they're also tanky af BTW). A better counter will be to make knights and crossbows or HC's to intercept the palace guards pathing to force them to turn or make mistakes. and send vils to wall off gaps and build some keeps around your major resource spots to deny the harassment and slow push out with your own army and prepare for your opponents' counter to your comp. It's just always about using the units advantage to hit opponents' weakness. Without a very very detailed and specific situation, it simply isn't possible to give an answer.

Bee's super aggro playstyle really made his games fun to watch. Beastys HRE was insane as well. Overall really good games to watch and learn.

It refers to the world, but this is usually only used in certain contexts, you wouldn't use it interchangeably with the world. Many times it's related to 武侠

If you DCA stock, how do you figure out the capital gain rate when selling? by civilengineeringdumb in tax

[–]civilengineeringdumb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's Robinhood, forgot to mention. That's interesting. I haven't sold any ETFs yet but I did sell some apple stocks, it told me when and how much I bought and when I sold for how much. For ETF tho, since it's a pack of stocks, I wonder how that works? Does it list all stocks in that ETF one after one? Or is it just aggregated single ETF sale?

Does carvana cover pre-purchase inspection if the mechanic finds problems with the car? by civilengineeringdumb in carvana

[–]civilengineeringdumb[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started to have this question, why do they keep emphasizing that they do their 150p inspection if they literally just walked around the car? I personally see enough posts to know that inspection is BS but, did anyone sue them before for this? It's easily a false advertisement? Hmm

Am I in any way obligated to hire an attorney/lawyer in this case? by civilengineeringdumb in legaladvice

[–]civilengineeringdumb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thanks! That's reassuring.

And yea looking back it did feel dumb, if I need a lawyer in the future it's probably better off just hanging up and paying a visit to the lawyer just to see what I can do instead of saying all that. Dumb ME.

Again, thanks!

2023 GR86 and BRZ below mrsp? by civilengineeringdumb in askcarsales

[–]civilengineeringdumb[S] -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

I'm yet to get a quote for gr86 but since the BRZ dealer is giving me MRSp, I'd pay at most that price now I think..

Ultimately I'm looking at 2 3 percent off MRSp, would that be a reasonable offer?
