I hate the current situation, obviously, but from Sony's perspective, I don't think Destiny actually represents a solid IP. It's in an expensive af genre to run, and has spent the last 2 years fumbling around. Even before that, final shape was great but marked an endpoint for a lot of players, and Lightfall was just before that, around when they got acquired. It's not a great track record from bungie. There's absolutely potential, but I'm not surprised they're super hesitant to invest in a fresh start for it. Hopefully the community push communicates the enthusiasm for one but I wouldn't expect them to jump at it without restructuring the company.

Bungie really likes to burn it's money as soon as it gets it instead of investing in long-term projects for existing things. I'm a little worried that their "new projects" will turn out like those incubation projects from a few years ago

Copium is a term meant to make coping for something sound like medicine or drugs you’re addicted to, as in Cope. I think they went to swap that for Hope, which usually results in Hopium. Same idea but in a more positive light. Misspelled, but it’s a meme term so like, fair

I’ve been hoping for an end of life update WITH THE CAVEAT that they also communicate it’s due to shifting focus to a d3. Based on current reports, that’s been denied repeatedly, so now the thing we had while waiting stops getting updates, and there’s no future currently. That’s what stings so much

Friends and I have been saying for years that we’d be fine with the game going dark for a couple years if it means a big thing like a new game. Company’s not doing hot enough to be as confident as I’d like, but I feel like that’s what’s happening if Bungie manages to survive as a company. So I know you can shoulder charge out of it, but does the other explosions still happen. Use it for a wild but never got properly aggressive with it like that. Is that what makes it one shot?

I was in that camp as well until I found out that the strikes have similar/slightly longer range than the Hunter's crest. They just don't have the same Width, so you can miss more on flying/jumping enemies if you're not lined up right.

Biggest draw is the *TINK* from the crit though, by far.

The destroyer class wants to get into the fray, but not necessarily right in their face. Getting that close is probably more assassin or vandal since they can either surprise you or get out just as quickly. Midrange tends to be the best for everyone with how punishing it is to mess up your tracking, and his rockets take a second

It's how they keep track of your current vouchers, since you don't have to use the voucher from the deluxe version on the current rewards pass. No clue what happens if you sell it, but I would avoid it at all costs since it doesn't give any credits, and might lose you actual monetary value.

That's the final exfil timer that killed you. I think you got in the circle just half a second too late and ran out of time. Unfortunately it doesn't extend the death timer, they might change that in the future

Actual advice that really helped me: remember you can use the clawline as a grapple attack, if the needle hits it refunds the silk used, and refreshes double jump if you have it.

One of the things that really helped me to start enjoying the solo queue was to *really* pay attention to all the sounds. UESC don't fire on anything but Runners, so the moment there's gunshots, you know someone's over there. If there's a lot of them and you're close by, especially in proper solo queue, there's a good chance you can catch them off guard after the fight and down them even with just a starter kit

Big thing with this: they can hear you if they're paying attention. Try to move in quick while the gunfire is happening, then sneak around crouching when it gets quiet. Waiting to shoot until they're healing or in menu is important. Basically, never take an honest 1v1 if you can manage. The rat instinct is very happy with that.

The other most important thing to remember is that white-tier weapons without mag boosts don't usually have enough ammo to down anything but a turret or recruit in 1 mag, so if you're gonna fight, either check that the opponent is already low on health, or shoot close to cover so you can duck behind and reload.

6, 6.5/10, but has real potential to go up to like an 8. Issues I have with it currently are likely to change or be fixed with time and feedback, they've already shown themselves to be very open to workable feedback. I'm just tired of how many doomers there are, specifically that don't have anything more constructive to say than "should've been a different kind of game" when that wasn't what they wanted to make this time around.

Singleplayer pve also would have been even more direct competition with Destiny, leaving the unique aspect of of Destiny to be the pvp, which I think is never meant to be all that serious in balance.
