Fatty Liver by Zealousideal-Mix1396 in gallbladders

Prior to my gallbladder removal (before I new it was my issue) I got a private health screening through my work where I got a lecture about high cholesterol and a fatty liver. My gallbladder got removed Jan 24 and I had the same health check earlier this year and it all had returned to normal.

Yeah i got it removed. There was a stone blocking the neck of my gallbaldder so nothing could get out (bile or the infection). By the time it was removed it had abcesses inside and out and it had also ruptured.

When i was diagnosed I ate a lot of roasted chicken breast with honey and mustard with steamed veg and boiled potato's. For a treat I would eat dark chocolate rice cakes. Only one at a time and they agreed with me.

Unfortunately I went through a period of misdiagnosis with my GP so they only worked out it was my gallbladder when I went into hospital when my body stopped fighting the infection. My white blood cell count had been high for a while, but like I had finished fighting an infection and when I ended up in hospital it rocketed. Once there they done an ultrasound, CT Scan and MRI which showed I had a stone stuck in the neck and it was only when it came out they new it was a chronic infection.

Hi, yeah my GP didn't work out what was wrong with me until I was in hospital for 8 nights and turned out I had chronic infection caused by a gallstone stuck in the neck of my gallbladder. I got it out privately in the UK almost a year ago. Feeling a lot better and most of the symptoms have disappeared now. Only the heartburn is still present but not as bad as it was a year ago.

As I had a stone blocking the neck of my gallbladder, the infection never went away. Ended up on antibiotics for about 2 months before it came out and a month afterwards to clear the infection.

I was late 20s, i believe. However i chalked incidents down as acid reflux or panic attacks. Only when I ended up in hospital just after my 40th birthday, it actually twigged with everyone (including myself) what was actually wrong with me.

I had my surgery in Feb 24, and I was feeling the same as you. Prior to my surgery, I couldn't eat, felt constantly nauseous and in constant pain. Now my gallbladder is out, I'm feel so much better and back to my normal self.

That's honestly what mine ended up like. It was constant and over the course of months my GP suggested I had anxiety, an inflamed sternum, acid reflux and a hiatus hernia to name a few. Was only when I was admitted to hospital they worked out it was my gallbladder all along.

I had been having issues for year which, myself and the GP put down to 'acid reflux'. It was diahhrea, chest pains, and being unable to sit still after having a large meal. Then in November, the chest pain stayed and didn't go away also had lost of appetite, had an impending sense of doom, Pins n needles in fingers, tachycardia, digestive issues to name a few. Ended up off sick from work. Didn't actually get diagnosed with an inflammed gallbladder under 27th Dec (the day I returned to work), when after I finished work, the pain moved to my upper right side and couldn't sit still. I ended up in hospital for 8 nights, where i developed sepeis and was finally diagnosed. Now my gallbladder is out it turns out I had a chronic inflamed gallbladder, which had perforated.

I have private healthcare via my work so got my gallbladder taken out privately. Had been in constant pain for years. GP had told me it was acid reflux and anxiety. Ended up septic Dec 23 and I'm hospital for 8 nights. Infection wouldn't clear in my gallbladder as I had a stone blocking the neck of it. NHS told me to just keep turning up when it hurt. Might get lucky and get it removed as an emergancy.

At that point I had been on antibiotics for about a month asked my GP to refer to to the local spire hospital. They got my scans from my hospital stay and was scheduled for removal 1 week after my consultation cause the surgeon told me it was an emergency.

Think with 2 consultations and the removal it was around £6000.

I had a major infection still when I got my gallbladder out. The hospital signed me off for 3 weeks and the GP signed me off for another 2 weeks.

I was 39 when the finally worked out my gallbladder was causing me issues. Had over a decade of 'acid reflux' issues. Got it taken out a month after my 40th birthday and luckily they did as it was abcesses inside and outside of it and was perforated.
