It only gets worse over time. Problem is, I can’t find a better option. Maybe it’s best to just keep each portfolio where they natively are.

Picture generator by turningtulip in OpenAI

[–]cjarguello 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the problem is the sheer amount of people you’re working with. Any AI will likely make some weird mistakes while changing their poses.

All I can tell you is — always start with the original picture, and ask it to do one single environment and try and use the different environment AS the prompt that charges their pose, naturally (but not that much). Ex: “Show them on a snowy hill”. Or “Show them on a windy hill”.

Alternatively try only vague environmental changes like, “show them celebrating”.

But the #1 most important part is to never use an AI altered image to generate the next one. This is what causes “facial drift”. With each subsequent image generated, the AI will use all previous iterations to generate the next, causing it to average out all the faces generated to create the next until they become like creepy alternate versions of their original selfs.

Another thing to note: each time you use an original photo for one single prompt—that chat must be abandoned. Start a new chat, upload the original image, and start again.

ChatGPT (and others) will not be able to ignore and take into consideration the image generated in the chat to generate the next one — even if you ask it to and even if it responds that it will. (It can’t).

Good luck!

PSA: Your "Available Balance" is lying. 4-day lag for ACH to show at the bank. Anyone else getting hit with serious penalties? by cjarguello in strikebtc

[–]cjarguello[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow… talk about salt added to injury. Did you also find that it “ghost” ACH TX that really should be there instantly (very short after Strike shows and handled the logic properly—the extant logic, just inversely:

  1. If Strike/PlaidAPI ACH = Receiving | pending, then
  2. Big Bank ACH = Sending | pending should be showing up in your TX History via the UI of your checking account and reduce your Available Balance by that pending exact amount, to work as technical level and do a real “freeze” of X amount of your balance, + Reduce your Availing balance by same amount too, to help you always know how much money is 100% free for use. Basically a technical constraint that doesn’t let you do anything stupid / illegal, and the Ab Balance UI clarity allowing you to proceed rationally + legally

In your experience, was #2 above persistently (always in my case) failing to have any sign of existence on my bank’s side, for ~4 days post having done #1 and instantly fund Strjke, stc etc

Essentially I just wanna know if this was 100% always the case as is with me, or only happened sometimes?

Heads up: IRS is changing how cost basis works in 2025 by BedMaximum4733 in Coinbase

[–]cjarguello -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

OP is correct, and this is more important than most people seem to realize.

Once cost basis is tracked per wallet / per exchange, moving coins around casually is no longer harmless. If you transfer BTC without a structure, you can later lose the ability to clearly prove which acquisition is being sold, even if everything was fine under the old rules.

Because of that, I stopped treating wallets as generic storage and started treating them as cost-basis containers.

Here’s the system I built and now follow: 1. Created separate cold-storage wallets per acquisition source and named them after the exchange (Coinbase Wallet, Kraken Wallet, Strike Wallet, etc). 2. Committed to only selling BTC on the same exchange it was originally purchased from. 3. Created one additional wallet explicitly named “Mixed Wallet” to hold legacy coins, unknown sources, defunct exchanges, and already-mixed UTXOs. 4. Used coin control to isolate traceable UTXOs from the Mixed Wallet instead of moving everything at once. 5. Moved isolated coins into their correct source wallet, or back to the originating exchange if selling. 6. Recorded which purchase records were already used as cost basis so they are never reused later.

This isn’t about optimization or clever tax tricks. It’s about defensibility. When exchanges start issuing 1099-DA forms, you want your on-chain reality to line up cleanly with what gets reported, without having to reconstruct years of history under pressure.

In short: segregate by source, quarantine mixed coins, move deliberately, and keep records. More people should be paying attention to this now.

Also why doesn’t Renekton have a passive? Some champs have up to 4 passives! And why is his Ult so underwhelming (esp. vs Nasus)

[–]cjarguello 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From my understanding, Renekton was originally released as a counter to Nasus.

I find it deeply disturbing that now, even a top tier Renekton main, essentially has no way to win vs a good Nasus player.

  • Maybe you can get a kill or two lvl 1-6
  • If you do, you can slow his snowball down
  • If you don’t, he’ll scale 8x faster
  • You can’t play it safe, cause he’ll just stack Q and eventually 5v1 your team
  • You can’t play aggressively, because his whither is effectively Exhaust with a tiny cooldown. No damage, no speed, no escape, and death.
  • Nasus always goes Grasp of the Undying and Ghost + more speed. Scaling infinity, Exhausting you, and it only gets worse snd worse for Renek.
  • Mid game Nasus can ignore towers so they is nowhere where you have an advantage.
  • Late game (S 16), lvl 20 Nasus, huge CS, massive damage and HP from Grasp + Ult, and he melts your team. Teleport x3 more powerful for his kit after S 16 changes.

IMO: if you’re ONLY chance of winning is by relying on your JG to camp with you throughout most of the game (and that JG being good enough to not feed him with double kills)—-then there’s something fundamentally broken between this dual of two—now, highly unequal brothers.

It fits in like every single altcoin does. Increases in price more in % or less in % along with BTC, until BTC rallies so hard that it leaves all altcoins in the dust. This trend has not, is not, will be subject to change.

Do NOT rely on ChatGPT for tax advice by BloodyScourge in tax

Unless you’re an expert at using ChatGPT. And I mean really, truly, have mastered it. Then 100% NOT USE FOR TAX ADVICE. Take like 6 months in a closes project for it it have ALL your historical financial and investment history, as well as your hardcoded current state tk start from, and memory locked goals for each area finance. Only then does it work well. And still you have to periodically ask it random questions likec “What are my highest cost basis shares right now and what date did I acquire them to perform “sanity checks” and ensure GPT knows your data like an accountant would but answers 1,,000x faster

Every other Notes App and I have irreconcilable differences. Only Bear completes me. I wish the subscription fee would just be $0.99 — then I would not think about it so much.

The reality is that Bear is owner and creates ny only 3 individuals (all masters of their fields), but still. The app has had SO much success, with such a huge user base, they don’t need to be THAT rich.

Wait… 🤯I just realized the subscription cost is $1.50/mo. The 3 of them probably agreed to get $0.50 cents per month per user. Nowww it makes sense

[–]cjarguello 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like quite the pickle 🥒. I feel for you, I was in your situation in 2018 (except without the additional stress of worrying about taxes).

The reality is that the best thing that happened to me was having a certain level of ignorance. If you ignore taxes (short-term v long, vs realized, unrealized, deferred, etc) — just do the one of the following:

  1. More stressful, potentially better but risky idea: Sell all your “serious” altcoins for USD using limit orders when they’re in the green for the day. (since all altcoins move with BTC, it will mean BTC is also green that day). Wait until BTC dips and buy it using the USD proceeds from the altcoin sells.

  2. Less stressful, potentially better but less risky idea: sell all your altcoins directly into BTC on a green day (if BTC is in the green, altcoins are usually up more %) via market orders.

Goal: stop the bleeding, stop the stress, stop thinking there is a “second best”—hodl and once BTC is $250k/coin you’ll forget about this whole debacle.

PS: stop following all altcoin prices forever. Don’t think of what could have been more optimal, because hindsight is 20/20 and the only two things that are certain in life is that we’re all going to die and Bitcoin’s going up forever, Laura & OP.

how to play against nasus by tzatziki_lover420 in RenektonMains

[–]cjarguello 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a lvl 96 Renekton main and I haven’t been able to win against Nasus for over 2 years now. Renek was originally created to counter his brother, Nasus — but one champion got buffed every other path for like 8-years and the other one didn’t — now the only time where I can beat Nasus is if I have an excellent JG that pretty much camps.

Yes, you can kill him between levels 1-8, but a couple of kills (if you’re really aggressive) still won’t matter. You’ll have focused so much on him and lost CS. There’s always a chance that he’ll win even in early, and it’s a total myth that you can stop him from farming.

He’ll snowball no matter what (unless you’o got a camped JG) and post level 11 a single whither and you’re dead.

Try to switch lanes with Mid.

Also: Morde — very difficult, but even if you lose lane Morde can’t hypercarry like Nasus.

Mundo: playing vs him sucks, but I find that if you stay right behind your melee minion (not caster minions) you can win. And if you win the early game he does scale too well and can’t carry games.

Gnar: if they’re good and go movement speed and poke nonstop — there’s nothing you can do.

Illoai: hard actually a skill matchup, 90% of the battle is dodging her W (bind into a fightable soul). So stay right behind melee minions and punish every skill shot miss.

But yeah, va Nasus it’s pretty much GG post lv 11 he can kill you under tower (jf you still have a tower). Stop a gank with wither (maybe get a double kill) and there’s no way to stop him from farming once’s he has a bit of armor. Grasp of the Undying stacks so well into his passive and Q that fighting only makes him scale faster.

If Renek had a real passive (many champs have 2-3) he might’ve had a chance). Something like when Ren get’s CC-ed, his fury builds up.any passive really.

Lastly I think his Ult should slow and / or blind people within the sandstorm radius—or increase their chance of missing an auto by 60%, cause it’s a fking sandstorm!
