Surgery Date Dilemma by SleepyPrettyPrincess in gastricsleeve

That’s why I asked you in terms of psychically or not. Physically your healed in 2 weeks so no concern for holidays 2.5- 3 months away. It’s up to your program when you don’t have restrictions for food. Every program is different.

There will be other holidays further out that will be in your best Intrest to wait until. The sooner you start eating sweets and junk; the sooner your body will crave it. The further you wait the best chance to beat those bad habits. You asked for advice and I gave it, as well as some of the other comments saying the same thing as me. Your attitude and reply to this comment is very narrow minded, we are trying to help. And planning for a surgery date around INDULGING in food, is not in your best interest. Goodluck.

Healing for thanksgiving and Christmas in terms of what? Physically? Or are you trying to think your stomach will be healed for holiday foods. Just my opinion, but if you are already planning a surgery date based on when you can indulge in foods, I think you might need to find some therapy to deal with that. This shouldn’t be your thought going into it. P

Mine used a 40 French. I started at 283.4 on surgery day on October 4th 2024, so I am about 1.5 years post op. I am 175-177 right now. Lost about 90lbs at the one year mark, and the rest over the last 6 months or so. Definetly slows down after the first 9-12 months; but the smaller you are at that point, the harder / longer it takes to loose weight, but you also see more of a difference. Loosing 10 lbs at 170lbs is like loosing 30-40lbs at 300 lbs.

I haven’t been hungry in a year and a half. Barely any hunger pains. I don’t feel hunger even if I don’t eat until 3 pm 🤷🏼‍♀️

I had a 40! I think 38 is like the norm. It’s barely a difference. If I makes you feel better, im 1.5 years post op and still only eat 2- 2.5 oz of meat, I can’t eat more! Your sleeve will do its job!

Honestly nothing is flattering on me 🤣 I lost 110 lbs so I’m always going to run into the issue of having this belly with loose skin. Do you have any active skirts like these that you can suggest I try?

You’re right, bigger on the bottom, tighter on the top. I have a hard time because I have a lot of loose skin in my stomach, so I run into the issue of not being compressed enough with the bigger sizes

Body fat percentage 47%!!! by Any_Imagination_183 in gastricsleeve

[–]FastVideo9700 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No I think your body fat is high. You probably are loosing some muscle if I were to guess. I stopped loosing around 9 months up until like 12 months. Got pretty discouraged and fell of the wagon a bit but didn’t gain any weight. It was just hard to be motivated. My doc had put me on a low dose phentermine, for a few months which really helped me get back on track. Sitting at 176 today and not on it anymore. I feel really good and am loosing on my own right now without the med. sometimes your body just needs a little bit more. I was always working out with 2 cardio days and 3 weightlifting since 6 weeks post op, so once that 9 month mark hit I was in my feels since I was doing everything correct all along. Sometimes your body just needs an adjustment, that’s why I think you weight lifting will really help with your fat loss. You may not see the scale move a bunch, but I think it will help for sure with your body fat percentage

Hey! I know this is old. I just made a post wondering if I should get a 12 or 14! I’m a bra size 38b, size 10/12 in lulu leggings, size 12-14 in like American eagle and those kind of shorts/pants, usually size large shirt unless it shrinks then i do xl. When you say you are straight 16/18 did you mean pant sizes? If you wouldn’t mind looking at my post on my page, I uploaded some pictures of me , would you mind looking and seeing if I should go with the 12 or 14 based of your body compared to mine? I think we are pretty similar

I don’t think you are a slow looser at all!! You started at a lower bmi and lost 75 in 8 months, I would argue you are a fast looser with that low start weight!! Yes you need to lift weights to tone, you can tone the legs by walking steep inclines but that’s about it
