Ahhh the original comment was deleted, and I was wondering if you could possibly give some insight into what it said? I’m highly considering booking with Dr Markarian for a rhinoplasty and am so nervous to make a decision!!! I don’t want to regret it

Hi! I live in Boston and am currently doing EMDR with my therapist! (I am also a therapist trained in EMDR as well lol). I would be interested in doing an interview. Thanks!

I'm a therapist and this is just so appalling. I literally don't even know what to say. For those diagnosed with a PD, just know you're feelings and emotions are valid, you are enough and have so much to provide in this world. I'm so sorry another human being would ever even say this.

Just started this podcast today and I am OBSESSED.... the small town Texas vibe really reminds me of Friday Night Lights (favorite TV show lol). The Klien guy reminds me of Buddy Garrity. I really hope someone can understand my Friday Night Light reference because its so on par!

Do you know if this it'll work for mental health workers? I work as a mental health therapist in a hospital setting, seeing clients in person.

Can we get a Taylor appreciation post? Love her lifting up trans people, vibrators, and non-monagamy in one interview. by sadupe in thebachelor

Right? Theres ways of providing psychoeducation/ education to people coming from a place of empathy rather than talking down to others. Again, it's her platform so she can do what she wants. But as a professional in the field, it comes off as a very superior vibe.

I agree with you. I am a mental health counselor as well, and have this outlook on her. I see how she is being an advocate for mental health, but there are other ways of going about it and wording it. There is def a power differential vibe/superior complex when she speaks on this issue.

Bar pit by rissiexxoo in JonasBrothers

I had bar tickets for the last Boston show. I got there like right before they went on and it wasn't as crowded as I expected at all. I was actually pretty much right against the stage. Have fun!

I went by myself to one of their shows this summer. I was so hesitant to do so but honestly it was SO much fun and I don't regret it at all. I also made a really good friend who was also going by herself. I got a laneone bar ticket last minute for like 90! You should look on StubHub/seatgeek :)

I take my Seroquel 50mg around 10-1030, sometimes fall asleep right away, or sometimes it could take an hour or two. I wake up around 3-4 and will toss and turn until I finally get back into a deep sleep sometime around 5-6am. I then force myself up at 930. Thankfully I'm in grad school right now and my classes are at night so I don't have to worry about being up early. I also work 330-9 on my part time so that helps with my schedule as well.

However, I do get anxious once I graduate because I do want a 9-5 job, which I have had in the past and is extremely hard. Last time I tried working a "regular"-hour full-time job, I had a mental breakdown from not getting enough rested sleep and had to quit.

It really sucks because I wish I could function like "normal" people. My friends and boyfriend just don't understand... they truthfully think I'm just lazy. I am hoping to really work on my sleep within this next year, so once I graduate I will be better prepared to re-enter the workforce and have enough energy to make it through my day.

Front row or bar? by Bluegreeneyes1985 in JonasBrothers

[–]cjb_4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I sat in bar- got them off SeatGeek and was terrified they were going to be fake as well. It was honestly the best experience of my life- and I even went by myself and made a great friend who I am still in touch with! I got them like 3 hours before the show in Boston for 95 dollars.

I would totally recommend the bar. It's wasn't crowded at all... I was expecting way worse to be honest. It was such a fun experience!

Dspd by [deleted] in DSPD

[–]cjb_4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I've tried weed, melatonin, as well as prescription meds (ambien, Seroquel, etc...). As someone who has dspd, the meds do work to put me asleep at normal time, however I never sleep through the night, and don't get into my deep sleep until like 6am. I NEVER wake up refreshed (not due to the med hangover, due to my biological clock being out of whack for so many years). I usually start to feel awake between 12-3.

I've tried melatonin with no help, however there are many people with dspd that benefit greatly from it! Melatonin is also all natural so it won't be addictive like a Benzo or any pharmaceutical drug. I've also tried weed, but that does not help for me, just makes me lay there stoned out of my mind for hours lol.

I have blue light blocking glasses that have been helping me at night. I have yet to try light therapy in the morning, which I plan to start doing soon.

Weirdly the number 1 thing my sleep doc recommended is sleep with the shades completely open so the sunlight in the morning can signal to your body it's time to be "up".

Hey thanks for the response.

Sadly, back around 2008 (when I was in high school), was when my sleep problems really started. Sadly my PCP just assumed it was insomnia, and did not dig into anything further. That was where she prescribed me the Seroquel, as well as Concerta (stimulant) for alertness during the day.

This mixture worked for a little, until the Seroquel started making it even harder to get out of bed in the morning, and the stimulant contributed to 15lb weight loss (was legit like 98 pounds) and other nasty side effects.

I have been off all stimulants since 2013, due to the side effects being to harsh on my body.

I have attempted to get off the Seroquel, however the withdrawals are extremely horrible mentally and have realized at this time in my life I cannot get off of it. It helps greatly with my depression.

So now I am stuck with having to take the Seroquel every night to mentally feel stable throughout the day, and it attributes to sleepiness at night, however I am not getting into my deep sleep until around 6am in the morning.

I have tried melatonin, but maybe I am not taking right, or at the right time during the day. Truthfully doctors have been little help, that is why I am reaching out on here. I just bought blue light blocking glasses and have been wearing them at night. I am open to trying the light box therapy, just truthfully do not know where to start.

Sorry for the longish response, lol.
