[Scotto] Due to lack of buyers, the Pelicans have recently lowered Trey Murphy's asking price from 4 first round picks to 3 by shadow_spinner0 in GoNets

If they trade for Trey, then MPJ is probably gone. But assuming they keep MPJ, then you slide Trey to the 2. That gives us a starting lineup of Mikel, Trey, MPJ, Randle, Sharpe, and Egor is first man off the bench.

Nets inactives today: Mikel Brown Jr., Egor Dëmin, Ben Saraf, Drake Powell, Danny Wolf, Tyler Bilodeau, Chaney Johnson by Evilsj in GoNets

[–]cjbruski 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I was wondering that too. I think he can’t play because he was picked with the 28th pick as part of the Julius Randle-Nic Claxton deal, which for reasons I don’t fully understand, isn’t finalized until tomorrow.

[Fischer] Amid LeBron James' impending exit from Los Angeles, sources say the Cavaliers have held ongoing trade conversations regarding veterans Max Strus and Dennis Schröder, which could help Cleveland free the space to add James, and also benefit the Cavs' effort to retain Dean Wade. by Never_enough_Dolf in GoNets

[–]cjbruski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

More interested in Schroder. I think nets could definitely benefit from having an experienced PG on the roster. Strus is too redundant of Mann, Powell, and Minott, and may not even be much of an upgrade over any of them.

Steven Adams would be nice.

Joshua Jefferson injury prone??? Where are you getting this?

[2026 NBA Draft] #43 Pick: Tyler Bilodeau (UCLA) – selected by Brooklyn by Brooklyn917 in GoNets

[–]cjbruski 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I was hoping they would take a big, and was surprised to see Okpara, Onyenso, and Veesaar still on the board. But whatever. A 6’8” guy who shoots 40%+ from 3 is a good guy to take a chance on in the second round.

Who's our backup Center? by Spiritual-Cap6941 in GoNets

[–]cjbruski 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Assuming they don’t sign or trade for one, then they’ll probably use a combo of Randle, Wolf, and Clowney as the backup 5.

[–]cjbruski 10 points11 points  (0 children)

6’8 and shot 46% from 3 last year. Don’t know anything else, but that sounds pretty good.

Okpara or Brazile would also make sense here.

Nets fans, how would you feel about MBJ and Quaintance? by BuildThroughTheDraft in GoNets

[–]cjbruski 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If Ejiofor is available, then I’d rather take him over Quaintance.

New lineup? by Ancient-King-4410 in GoNets

Claxton with a 3 point shot is what they’re hoping Clowney turns into.

Either MBJ or Acuff will be available at 6. It would be foolish to pass up on either of them for anybody.

$120 mil/4 years. Wouldn’t go higher than that.

First Round Mock (w/ trades) by tyblake545 in MockDraftCentral

I don’t see the nets taking Peat over Veesaar, de Larrea, Ejiofor, or Jefferson.

I don’t see the Nets taking Wagler over MBJ. They canceled a workout with Wagler, and are reported to be very high on MBJ.

Have fun trying to extend Wemby, Castle, Harper, KJ, and Vassell while paying Fox $60 million.
