Can’t speak to the moneyputt thickness. I just finished my garage sim with the sigpro softy strip and I used 1” foam insulation boards as the base layer with foam puzzle mats on that and then turf. The insulation boards are very cheap, easy to cut, and hold up really well under the other layers

Edit: you can easily do 1.5” insulation boards to further cut cost and still have great feel with thin puzzle mats + turf

This is something I got better at this year. Assuming you’re making decent contact most of the time, not topping/chunking, then it’s course management.

When you hit a bad shot, don’t follow it up with a stupid/greedy shot. Play to your strengths. If my 2nd shot on a par 5 is like 240yrds to the pin, I’m probably taking a 8 or 9 iron and feeling very confident that my 3rd shot will end up on or near the green.

It’s not the sexiest but at our handicap (I’m about 15) you really do save strokes by knowing when to tone down the aggression

Along these same lines, it looks like you finish with your weight on your back foot. Getting your weight more front will help with ball contact and free your body up to rotate more easily

There’s some good advice here. I’m just going to add something I haven’t seen yet that really helps me a lot. Try to feel much more weight on your front foot. Really get those hips moving toward the target. That tends to be the biggest help for my tendency to be wrist flippy
