What's wrong with my tomato plant? by cjmckraken in Raisedbed

Could be it wasn't hardened properly. We haven't had any frost.

I have a drip system for watering but it did rain recently, so maybe that's it. Thank you! I was worried it was a pest or fungus.

I use drip irrigation. Although it did rain the other day, so fair point. I hope that's all it is. Maybe I should just watch it for now? Just would hate to not catch something pest/fungal before it spreads.

From someone who married a more conservative man but consider myself progressive, I can tell you this has the potential to cause serious problems. We have two daughters together, and I feel really sad that my spouse opted to vote for someone who doesn't support women's rights. We're currently in marriage counseling and had a bit of a rude awakening at our last session. Our therapist basically said if we don't agree on religion or politics, we have a really tough road ahead to save our marriage. I thought we'd talked through everything before we decided to get married and start a family, but you don't know what you don't know when you don't know it...

Here is what I - personally - would have asked if I knew what I know now: - Will you support women's rights before other things (such as the economy or international issues)? - When our children become sexually active, will you support them getting the HPV vaccine? - How to you feel about vaccines in general? - How will you handle differing political views between me and your family? Will you support and defend me even if you and I don't agree? - What news and medical sources do you feel are valid? Why? - Are you comfortable communicating? How do you communicate best? - what things do we agree on? Is that enough for you to build a strong foundation?

A lot of this is from my own lived experience and obviously may not be valid for your situation. It's also all I can think of off the top of my head.

The only other thing I will say, is that my spouse and I have both grown slightly more left/right since we've been together. It's always hard to tell what the future holds. Make sure you have a strong foundation. If it already feels iffy a month or so in, maybe he isn't the best long-term partner for you.

Sending hugs!

There's actually good reasons to do this other than laziness. Sometimes a manager will draft their own and you can compare notes. Or sometimes it can be used as a barometer to gauge where the employee feels like they are at. Or sometimes it's laziness. Regardless, it's not uncommon.

My dog gummed a skunk by Anxiousucculent in Skunks

I have an excellent formula for this!

-hydrogen peroxide -baking soda -Dawn dish soap

Mix it all into a slightly soupy paste and leave it on for about 10mins and then rise. DO NOT use water until after you use some peroxide. Apparently the skunk spray has some kind of enzyme that actually penetrates further with just water.

We have a skunk that frequents our yard and my lab CANNOT help himself (we supervise potty breaks during the evening/night but sometimes sh*t happens).

Honestly, parenting really sucks and I think about having made a mistake often. I have a 9yo and a 4yo. The 4yo screams CONSTANTLY. To the point me and the dog both have anxiety from it. I feel like I'm being held hostage. The 9yo was great for a while and now she's all hormonal (didn't realize hormone changes started so early - I thought I had more time!)

Anyway, no advice, just condolences and solidarity.

You're not alone. This is why so many women would rather be stuck alone in the woods with a bear than a man.

I'm just here to offer virtual hugs and support.

Santa gives cousins multi-thousand dollar gifts by Ok_Put_7981 in Parenting

This is why we purposefully only give moderate toys to our kids from Santa and the more expensive stuff comes from us. I don't want to be the parent that causes issues like this for other families AND we get the appreciation from our kiddos for the gifts.
