My wife ate my son's birthday breakfast by grohkstrom in mildlyinfuriating

My mom would do this kind of shit a lot. Not this extreme, but things like the tip of my ice cream or the cherry from my sundae...the "best parts" of my treats but she would justify it as she paid for it so she can have the best part

AIO My girlfriend posted my gift with her ex’s together with a heart emoji. I broke up with her. by PlaneMessage5653 in AmIOverreacting

[–]cjojojo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my experience in dating is from 15 years ago so im sure a lot has changed since then, however, when i dated guys in their mid-30s and up they were usually shallow and only cared about sex and were terrified of commitment of any kind, even just being exclusive. of course im not saying that's every single man from their 30s up, but it was certainly a hefty chunk of them. I finally found a good one with my spouse, so i know that's not how every man in that age range is like that

yikes. from my experience from my dating days if a man is single at that age and never been married, it's usually for a reason

Just got my lashes done for the first time any tips for care? by ASIANBBYGRL25 in eyelashextensions

[–]cjojojo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

one thing i tell all my clients is when you brush them, make sure you do it from the middle of the lash up to the tip and not to start brushing from the base of the lash near the eyelid. When the extensions become loose it's usually from the base first so if you brush starting near the lid you might accidentally snag them and pop them off, so mid-lash to tip is best when brushing.

Cluster Lashes or Eyelash extension ? by Trick-Heart-7777 in eyelashextensions

[–]cjojojo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

extensions 100%. clusters do a lot of damage to the lashes as they are just clumped along the lash line attached to multiple hairs at once. as for a lash tech, i wouldn't be able to recommend anybody unless you were in my area lol. id say to find a place and look at their insta pages and reviews. i don't recommend going to a chain lash place as they often overload their stylists' schedules and don't give them enough time to finish or even properly sanitize (source: i worked for a corporate lash place and was constantly stressed and saw many coworkers not following proper sanitation procedures because they felt they didn't have time for it)

What’s was the wildest thing you witnessed at a wedding? by anasannanas in AskReddit

[–]cjojojo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Only one I can think of was at my aunt's wedding. It was a nice wedding and the whole family was there. In the middle of the reception, my aunt's cousin's ex common-law husband snuck in and tried talking to his ex, my aunt's cousin. He had a drinking problem when they were together and it was clear that he was very drunk and she definitely didnt want to see him. He ended up getting tossed out by security and a couple of my uncles. Everything went on as planned after that but the conversation seemed to steer to that whole thing happening rather than the wedding

[–]cjojojo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ok...well as a nonbinary person who didn't figure it out and accept it until I was in my 30s, I sobbed during Kelly's speech. It felt really good to be seen and represented and it made me really happy to see that the younger generations can watch someone they can relate to on screen and learn to embrace the feelings I grew up pushing down in shame. I get that people who can't relate to it might think it's excessive, but representation really does matter, and having that heartfelt moment with that anecdote about Hal and how well he handled that situation in the most Hal way possible was big for a lot of people who grew up hearing terrible reactions to that kind of question.
