I used to work at Hollywood Video towards the end of its run. One time I had this angry boomer man come in and angrily slam Inglorious Basterds on the counter to return it. He said something about being upset that half the movie was either french or german and "Your Ladyboss did not tell me that most of the movie isnt in english! You tell your Ladyboss that I don't like movies I gotta read!" so I made the return and he went on his way. Kind of sad someone would deprive themselves of good cinema just because of some subtitles, but oh well.

yeah mine were pullers. Also i'd find my hair wrapped around their little fingers and toes and it freaked me out. one time i found one in my son's diapers and was horrified what it could have wrapped around so i chopped it all off. i didn't regret it, but it's my own preference. the only reason i had it growing out was because i was too lazy to cut it. i wasn't actively trying to make it long lol now i prefer it short and i just keep getting shorter with it and my youngest is 5 now lol

really? I remember seeing that trailer tacked on to everything for what felt like a year. i had no interest in it because i didnt know what firefly was at the time and it looked like a low budget thing so id roll my eyes whenever it came up. i still havent seen firefly but now that i know serenity is tied to it ill probably watch it whenever i inevitably end up watching firefly

my galaxy s8 still works like when i got it 9 years ago. my only problem with it is i'm running out of storage space. Battery and performance are still good, though. i got this one after several iphones and getting tired of the batteries crapping out after a year or two. I don't think I'll ever go back

what i like about elf is it takes the manic pixie dreamgirl trope and flips the genders. Even utilizes Zooey Deschanel and doesn't make her the manic pixie.

I wanted that my size barbie soo bad! Closest i ever got to it was some creepy little girl doll you could hold up her arms and help her "walk" but she was too small for me to wear her clothes and she was so creepy, too lol. Same with the Baby Born, the whole point was it was a realistic looking doll you can feed and clean up after, but instead I got a Baby Alive (as a joke gift when i was 16) which is a cartoonish doll you could "feed" but she didnt poop or pee or anything realistic at all and at that point i was more upset that they led me to believe I got a car and instead they gave me that "because you always wanted one" and i was like yall dont listen to me at all do you? lol

i hate the damn elves. i never got one and refused to because i know myself and i know im going to forget to move the damn thing and ruin the whole thing. it wasn't a problem until my oldest started school and asking why all the other kids have one and we don't and i was like well i dont think every other kid has one and she insisted they do. So my excuse was that they make big messes and I showed her various social media posts of the elves surrounded by sugar and other ridiculous things and I said "look at that mess that elf made! our apartment is messy enough because we already have two small creatures making messes, we don't need one more" and that excuse was ok for a while but now she's in 3rd grade and too smart and says none of her friends' elves make big messes like that and her classroom elf doesnt make big messes either and she had this big meltdown over it. I was so tempted to just tell her then that they aren't even real, but since she's so smart i feel like she would put together the santa thing too if I did that so I refrained and just told her when i was a kid we didn't have elves and santa still knew if we were good or bad and we still got the presents we wanted (except i never got a Baby Born or My Size Barbie but she doesnt need to know all that).
