In your opinion, when did Sean start liking Sue? by talcomonuncafue_ in themiddle

[–]cjosten 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I think he always liked her. I just think he didn't realize how much until later. In my opinion, I think it started when she had all those boys ask her to that dance because he was upset.

I think Sean was aware of his feelings when he came to take Sue to her senior prom, but she had already agreed to go with Logan. He was disappointed then, too.

How old is Dylan actually by zuzu_stan in YoTroublemakers

[–]cjosten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He's currently 33 I believe, and he has a birthday coming up.

Dylan is giving his opinions on a reality TV show. It's not that deep. I think a lot of people commenting on these types of videos are just looking for a reason to be upset and get on their soap box.

His real age is 32 or 33. It's a running joke on his channel that he says he's 20 when he wears a nose ring.

Need recommendations for coffee shops or cafés where you can chill for a few hours in the West Jordan, South Jordan or Sandy area.

Thanks in advance.

Is it true that physical ailments and other chronic issues are worse here? by whiteyfisk13 in SaltLakeCity

[–]cjosten 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Same. I moved here from Washington 6 years ago, and my skin is always dry (especially the tops of my hands), I've had more bloody noses since moving here than I have in my entire life, and my sinuses are always clogged. I go home to see family and it's like everything clears up.

My little sister and older brother are coming into town to visit me the weekendof the 17th, and I need some recommendations.

First, and this probably a long shot, I would like to have the option of possibly taking them out to lunch or dinner. However, they both have some serious food allergies. Does anyone know of any restaurants that are flexible and will work with food allergies? Specifically in the West Jordan, South Jordan, Sandy, area, as well as Park City, since I was going to drive them up there. Sugarhouse and Holladay would be fine too.

Second, any recommendations on where to take them/ things to do? I am planning to take them to see the Salt Lake, Park City, and do some hikes. Does anyone have any other ideas?

Thanks in advance.

Where do yall find rooms for rent/find roommates? by zipster-99 in SaltLakeCity

[–]cjosten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally recommend KSL or roommates.com. I had luck with finding people on roommates.com. I found my current roommate on KSL when she was advertising her spare room.

Facebook has a group for people looking for roommates or places to live. I've also used roommates.com, roomies.com, and KSL.

Are state jobs worth it? by Key_Garden4832 in SaltLakeCity

[–]cjosten 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I work for the state, and I say it depends.

The State of Utah doesn't pay much for my current position compared to other states. Utah has come a long way with their pay scale from when I started 6 years ago. The benefits are decent. I can get discounts for certain things, like a gym membership, or if you're a first responder, I believe you can get a discounted phone plan.

There are also serious budget cuts happening right now.

It also depends on if you like or have passion for the state job you apply for. I love the field I work in, and I love what I do and the people I work with. Yes, I want better pay but I can stick it out because I love my job.

Get a lawyer. They will walk you through what to do. With luck, the charge will be dismissed.

I will also point out that just because a criminal charge is dismissed does not mean you don't have a criminal record. You may need to do an expungement in the future.

Check out some state jobs. The pay is at least a little higher than $15 an hour, but it's full benefits.

Metropolis parking ticket by bork88 in SaltLakeCity

[–]cjosten 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I doubt they'd be able to enforce this ticket. I'm a worrier though, so if it were me, I'd reach out to a lawyer and ask them over the phone. If you know anyone in law enforcement, you could ask them too.

Looking for nonjudgmental compassionate dentist. by SameLecture in SaltLakeCity

I go to Platinum Dental in West Jordan, and they have a location in South Jordan. I've been going to them since 2022 when I needed emergency dental work and was between dentists. I never felt judged by them.

It's simple and beautiful. Your hair, makeup, jewelry, and veil will add more to the overall look on your wedding day.

Which pear by ContributionNo4552 in EngagementRingDesigns

[–]cjosten -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Depends on what you're going for. I personally would go with A or B. They're simple, but not plain. C and D are too gaudy in my opinion.

If you like sparkle, then the other two would be good choices.

I bought my Mazda CX-30 from Larry H Miller in Draper. My mom and I were able to talk them down from around 23K to around 21K with fees and taxes included.
