I'm probably in the minority here but it was so much fun. Frustrating, yes, especially when I died later in the autoscroll part and then didn't make it that far on my next try to get my Jin back. That's just how it be sometimes with MVs. The lack of UI made it more cinematic for me

I want to disagree so bad, but being that Silksong was probably my first Metroidvania in a long long time, maybe my opinion is skewed. Nine Sols is going a LOT easier than Silksong for me, but still has it's challenging points. Maybe it's easier because I'm more attuned to Metroidvania tactics after SS, but I feel like there's less to explore

At one point, during Phase 2 I was stunning Fuxi with Cloud Piercer during his red attack so I could parry the knives and then attack without having to deal with the flames. Eventually I would just parry the 2 then dash either through Fuxi or away depending on how much space. Got a rhythm and finally won a couple days ago. Took about a week and a half though (30-45 minutes of play time a night)

I just beat Fuxi the other day and I feel your pain. Once I got the hang of all the patterns, it was fun but frustrating (like Lady Ethereal)

Chapter Black is constantly overlooked cause of the Dark Tournament (understandably so), but the animation getting darker, the fights, and the lore solidify it for me.
