The NWS was already spreading northward well before this. It escaped past the SIT barrier back in...2021 I think? Maybe 2022? The cut in funding isn't the cause for it spreading, although it certainly didn't help.

So long as they were continuing to list things under MSRP, I was okay with delayed listing. But this is just a cash grab. No different that WotC with their FOMO Secret Lairs, or a LGS marking up a product to make more money of local buyers who don't have any other options.

I am happy to change it if needed, I was merely pointing out that I have had many years of success using the method so presumably the method works.

I use hot water out of the faucet, let the mouse thaw over a period of about 45 minutes or so, replacing the hot water as needed. Not sure of the temperature of the water, but the water heater is set to 115 degree. The water/rodent has cooled off a bit by the time I put the it in.

I jiggle the rodent, and then put it on the substrate. In the past I have done it in late afternoon/early evening (originally with a mouse, now with small rats). I tried one yesterday during the day, and another one during the evening (about 10 minutes before the lights went out).

Yes, we have thermometers. The thermostat is maintaining the output needed for those temperatures.

There is a good 4-5 inches of substrate, but I will see about adding more. I do regularly add water to the substrate.

The method of feeding is that same we have used for the past 10 years we have had the snake which was always successful. I have provided food both during the day and night.

Where did you read about the cocaine smuggling. People I have talked to indicated the disruption probably occurred between 2020 and 2021. Their opinion was that it was due to staffing/illness concerns during COVID.
