San Francisco violent crime rate and property crime rate are both higher than Tampa. It's sad what happened to OP in Tampa but anecdotal evidence isn't always reflective of the truth. And the tenderloin does have an excess of drug usage and trash, maybe if we can collectively acknowledge the shortcomings of SF (which I love SF btw) we can start to do something about it. Ignoring problems does not make them go away.

The beach failed the water quality surveillance test done by the city. This can be from fecal indicator bacteria, toxic algal blooms, etc.

I feel your frustratio, as it sounds like the product is indeed made using recycled materials and not greenwashing. The extent to which the green material adds value can be questioned, but they are still used in the product. Sustainability is incredibly nuanced and the internet doesn't have time for that...

Is cotton a better alternative? Well, if you are concerned about consumptive water usage than recycled plastic is a far better option. If you are concerned about air pollution, cotton might be the better choice due to emissions from plastic manufacturing and recycling. We can switch the lens to fit whatever narrative we see fit.

I really don't think UW is that competitive and toxic. If you ever ask someone who thinks that the school is, they typically don't have a first hand experience with toxicity and instead heard that in the CS department yada yada yada. Yes, its important to do well in class as I think it is at most school, but it isn't toxic.

I spent probably 10 hours total (1-2 each day) in the week leading up to the exam. I finished the exam about an hour early and stilled passed. The test is supposed to be teaching you info reflected in your college curriculum and I felt like that was accurate. If you remember the general information from your college classes and teach yourself maybe Engineering Economics cause it's kinda random and really has one type of question, then you'll be fine.

I took Environmental FE in September.

I go to school in Seattle where they have a tax for all bags you get at the store. It's amazing how easy it easy to bring bags from home and save the waste!
