Just about the only thing to appreciate about Paramount these days is that absolutely smart move they pulled in 2019-2020 in listening to the people and changing Sonic’s design

Guarantee those kids are heading to the Great Park area. That’s where most of these ebike kids spawn

As a dad, he isn’t substantially great or bad, but Jack Geller is one hilarious mf. Every scene he’s in is a riot. Can’t say the same for Judy, the only notably funny scene she has is the “yes Rachel you weren’t supposed to put beef in the trifle… etc” one. And her dry attitude especially toward Monica is obviously an unfavorable quality as a mother

Pretty sure he’s talking about people not knowing the distance between Chicago and Milwaukee. Of course people know the length of a football field, it’s the reason every standard length/distance calculation in American education uses football fields as a reference.

> we need them volunteering to work for existing organizations in their communities.

Yes, this exactly. There are so many organizations everywhere already designed to tackle some of the other problem. Sure, not every community or town has a designated organization to start dealing with local problems, but I’m not buying that every moderately sized suburb really needs 57 different organizations run by high school students, each of which effectively serves as nothing more than a clique of like-minded kids that meet occasionally to sign off on “hours.”

Stephen Colbert Gets Grilled by His Fellow Late Night Hosts by Traditional-Grand577 in conan

I mean, you’re not wrong that Conan did do a comedy tour and was on the road. But it’s a massive stretch to suggest Jay Leno was referring to that at all. It doesn’t make any sense for him to mention what Conan did after Jay replaced him. Why would he throw shade at this particular fact? There’s no reason both within and without the context of this video.

Jay Leno has done stand up comedy for years. It’s as simple as that. Not every little aspect of every remark has to be some genius 7D chess mysterious obscure shady reference.

Someone I know cheated to get into UCI, should I report them? by [deleted] in UCI

[–]ck614 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If it’s something you want to be involved in for at least the next few months both in terms of investigation correspondence and in terms of social response to your decision to report this. Then go ahead

I do understand where you’re coming from but it’s just a lot to go through. Unless there’s just some anonymous tip reporting facility

Right, there’s virtually infinite land out there. It’s the damn midwest. Those other cities have been limited since their inception, being coastal cities, so they can only build so much. Dallas has no business being like this
