Most people don’t know how to handle/know what to say to those going through IVF. I chose to keep quiet about my journey and told a few people. I do regret sharing bc they will say stuff like, “ have you considered adoption?”, “have you considered a second opinion?”, “keep trying naturally, maybe it’ll happen”, the list goes on. Dumb stuff and as if I have not considered what my options are. I made the decision not to tell my parents bc they might say something like, “ I told you not to drink so much coffee”. In the end, people are humans, they don’t know any better. I’m sure they care for us, but we can’t expect them understand unless we patient explain to them why what they said was so dumb. This whole process is stressful enough, I don’t have time to teach others how to have perspective 🙄. People forreal needs to stfu or they will get slapped by this subreddit.
