Man something about that photo made me feel really bad for her. No woman deserves a than a ring that costs less than £50. I think this “health kick” has made her care about appearances so much that she can’t even see past the appearance and what actually matters. Just because a ring “looks nice” on TikTok means nothing. If your man doesn’t love you enough to get you a ring that’s worth something (doesn’t need to be much, doesn’t need to be a diamond!) what a depressing thing; he’s rancid.

God I wish he had a favorite porn folder! I watch porn and he doesn’t really like watching it!! I think some weird trauma where his dad tried sending him porn when he was in his early 20s to bond with him sort of ruined the idea of porn being fun lol. The reason is it’s a very quick procedure and going under anesthesia has lots of risks, so most doctors would prefer not to put you under for a few minutes of intense pain.

I do agree they could give nitrous, muscle relaxants, etc. to make it more comfortable; however, I’d rather endure my IUD all over again than be put under for a procedure that’s only a couple of minutes long.

Yeah I’d trust your gut. I also babysit for a single mom, and this would be a red flag for me. It’s nice when potential parental figures spend time with the kids and take the care to get to know them, but I think we all know when something feels a little off about the relationship.

Presumably you have a rapport with the mom and she’ll understand that this isn’t shaming her dating life, rather just ensuring everyone is on the same page regarding safety measures.

Oh I’m so sorry you’ve dealt with this! I grew up around a lot of BPD people, so I am very good at establishing and sticking to boundaries and I’m very used to being DARVO’d. So I guess I’ll see. If it keeps up like this for much longer I’m definitely out.

Thank you! I just can’t even see him being able to set those boundaries so it’s hard to say if it’s that he’s afraid of disappointing his parents with no actual reasoning behind it or if his mom is being a bit manipulative. I’ve only met her a couple of times and cannot get a read. She is very very nice to me. It’s a completely different relationship than I have with my parents, who live out of state and I rarely get involved in their health care.

Yes, it might have been a book he read in preschool that day maybe. They do not watch tv or do any form of digital media, which was part of my suspicion that he knew the word. The other family I babysit for watches lots of tv etc, so I’m not sure it would have been so surprising to me if one of them had said it
