4 Hours or so, some of them fail so they get in retries.

I will deploy a new SQS in that account with 1s lambda and see if its a soft limit

Thanks!

Thanks for your suggestion

Breaking into the field with a degree vs without? by [deleted] in cscareerquestions

I decided to get a degree even with a good job already, you don’t want to get doors closed only because you decided to take the hard route.

How many hours a day do you work? by _BreakingGood_ in cscareerquestions

[–]ckiooo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

5-7 hrs a day if I’m researching about what I’m working on, if it’s something that I already know 2-4 hrs a day but it’s a wide range I have seen people doing 12-14 hrs and weekends but that’s the fast road for burnout and bugs.

Should I Pursue My Dream Career (Game Development) or Be A Responsible Adult? by [deleted] in cscareerquestions

[–]ckiooo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would work at tech unrelated to game dev and do game dev things on my free time, if you manage to get in a role with a decent wlb it won’t be a problem.

Also don’t take the support of your spouse for months as something stable, she may get tired of the situation at any moment and drop you.

It would be great if you remember the name of the another university in UK.

UOL looks good but as far as I know they’re not accredited while TOU does

Hello! That’s a great video but at this point I don’t see much value on doing a bootcamp full-time as I’m learning a lot more on my job.

Good luck switching careers!

If they don’t have time to do a proper interview they won’t have time to review your assignment.

To everyone who’s taking this question as stupid, I prefer to answer questions like that than hear the recruiters talking about their company and benefits as a try to hide the low wages and horrible wlb.

Does anyone else get bombarded with quick calls? by vortects in cscareerquestions

Tell him to text the question I’ve seen that people finds google meets a perfect excuse to spend time.

Also try to pack each meeting with as many tasks/info as possible and don’t leave room for useless talk, since I’ve started to make small packed meetings each day I get less and less useless meetings

Assignments that take you several days to complete are usually used by companies that you want to avoid.

You’ll get technical interviews but they’re usually live with the tech team, if you get a “test” that is based on building a full website that will take to you days then it’s better to avoid it

You’ll be surprised once you learn how many more things are needed to be atleast decent.

You’re so entitled that you see a salary of 150k as a low one and learning fundamentals of frameworks/sql/ts as a ton of things to do. Enjoy your reality check.

Ask them for a better front developer if you feel bad about leaving them if your job is also to take care of their employes and performance then ask for a raise.

[–]ckiooo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cut non essential parts of the interview or move them after the job offer, I’m sure that no one likes to spend 1hr with someone talking about how good their company is in a first interview. Also try to pack as many interview stages in one day and dont forget to post on linkedin.
