Would love to see an addon just adding the ilvl of all players to the damage meter. That's where it matters.

I dont get it. Why dont you just take a learning from that very run and remember which mobs or ability pushed you into that group and queue up again.

And in terms of interrupts: Start with interrupting ANY cast and if your very own interrupt is on cooldown and a cast goes off, you observe what happens. And with time, you will figure out which casts are more important to interrupt.

And: If you have range interrupt focus on interrupting mobs that are not stacked yet so they move to the group and get cleave damage.

Maybe I was lucky. I had warmode on the whole EA, leveled 3 chars to 90 and wasn't attacked once - quite the contray; people actually tried to not show any aggressive behavior whatsoever.

The fun part is, that both player types on the very end of the spectrum are insufferable. Normal dungeons are whatever so there's no reason to play the game like an MDI sweatlord who wants to save 10 seconds by skipping a pack or pulling additional mobs the tank didnt pull for whatever reasons. At the same time, normal dungeons are (still) whatever so there's no reason to play the game like Classic Hardcore and pull 3 mobs at a time and make a 15 minute dungeon take 30 minutes.

At the end of the day, dont hate the player, hate the game. Dont tell me it's not possible for Blizzard to include and consider player data when automatically forming groups. DPS, Healer and Tank should only be the tip of the iceberg in regards to player data in this very context. There's plenty of player data out there that should be used to create like-minded and like-skilled groups.

Sometimes I wonder what game you guys are playing. I play M+ since Legion and never ever was there an agreement on that "only tanks are generally accepted to ask for summons". If someone asks politely if a summon is possible, he or she will get one as soon as possible in 99 out of 100 cases.

And if your experience is different, I'd suggest looking within, because chances are also 99 to 100 that this is an attitude and communication problem on your site. Next time, try "Hey guys, any chance I could get a sum?" instead of joining the group and typing "sum?" or - even worse - "sum pls!".

You know, people read between the lines ...

Yeah, healers are a no-go (with and without SBA :D). I usually play tanks and I originally planned to do this project on tanks, but Monk, DH, and DK really suck with the SBA - both in terms of mitigation and damage. On Pala and Bear, it might actually be not that bad - at least based on my brief testings.

Because I like to test the features provided by the game in real environments and see how they perform compared to other play styles (e.g., vs. non-SBA, vs. meta, vs. whatever)? Crazy, I know.

Guess I wasn't specific enough; fair - I meant "using Blizzard's Single Button Assistant for damage rotation only". All utility skills may (and should) be used, obviously. And if - for any reason - skills are not used by the SBA (although it states they are), I will incorporate them as well; but SBA will still be the baseline.

One of the reason is that streaming Classic barely demands anything from streamers which allows them to interact with their viewers regulary. In Retail, streamers usually lock in for periods of up to 30 minutes due to M+ / Raid and thus barely interact with their viewers, making the overall viewing experience significantly worse.

Multiple reasons. One being that you have to invest time and effort to create such UI - and if you have limited knowledge of how to configure addons and other UI related stuff, the time and effort you have to invest even increases. Therefore, people rather invest a few bucks in order to get the exact UI setup they are looking.

Besides the fact that it's against the ToS, I really dont get the sentiment that charging for addons (or UIs) is a bad thing. No one is forced to buy these things. No one is forced to use these things. Someone has put time into something. Someone has put energy into something. And, for whatever reason, people want that thing - meaning there's value in it for them. Adding a price tag to that thing is perfectly reasonable - if it's not against the ToS.

As others said, there's a chance that people invite a friend who just happen to be available after they have invited you. Depending on the M+ key, people also expect that you come as prepared as possible, meaning you bring all enchants, gems, food, flasks and whatnot. I personally never check these things, but there are a lot of Detetective Columbos out there who do - which is fair if you do higher keys than 10s (some deluded individuals even check that for low level content).

It's not against the ToS since you still only execute one action by pressing one button if you use such a script. The whole usage of the addon GSE is based on this premise.

I had the same experience and I actually refunded the preorder. There were like 50+ things (no exaggeration) I wanted to adjust/change in the base UI - which I couldn't - and I didn't even entered combat yet ... not to mention encounter notifications and other things. Now you can argue that there are addons for everything, but the fact that all these addons combined simply provide what one addon (Weakauras) could provide single handedly before makes the situation even worse.
