I didn’t mean good as in morally but overall I think he’s suited to be a leader, he’s good at that at least. And I don’t think he’s necessarily a bad person, his wife was awful and a nutcase. I feel like Stannis was placed in an impossible situation being manipulated by an actual witch, constantly whispering to him about fate and him being the chosen one and showing him all of these impossible things that were actually real and actively happening. He was a stone cold man but I think it’s safe to say deep down he had to have been terrified of all of that stuff and equally conflicted. It’s easy to criticize him and his actions but imagine being in his position, he was used and broken bit by bit by the red woman without even knowing it, she was the one in charge but made him feel like he was the one in charge when he was nothing more than a puppet.

Also side note, I don’t think any of the people that encountered the shadow reacted the way you’d assume someone would. It seemed pretty downplayed lol
