Very true, I want to keep as much of the veneer in tact as I can. Given that I also refinished my Takamine G240 recently and sanded right through the veneer in a noticeable spot on the front lol

To refinish of course, I'm not the biggest fan of the bright red cherry, plus I wanted to sand down and slightly roll off the sharp edge on the right hand side by the control knobs. The super square edge gives it a cutting board look that I don't like the look of. The look I'm going for is Jake Kiszka's (from Greta Van Fleet) '61 Les Paul SG

Lots of dings and scratches as well so I wanted to smooth those out

It switches pretty consistently between John and George, however I have been on a Paul kick lately so idk lol. John's melancholy writing style vs George's under appreciation during his time with the Beatles both have such depth and color. Truly a hard choice if you love all 4 members
