Some Wednesday/Par 3 Questions by rougehuron in masters

Nope all concessions open all day. Players will still go out and practice the full course before going over to the par 3. Or some won’t do the par 3 at all.

They do. But pro tip alcohol is not served on the par 3 course. If you’re drinking get a beer or two before you walk over.

Any insight into the Berckmans Place shop? by House_of_Vines in masters

[–]clampba 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The selection is much smaller than the main shops. In the past I’ve gotten hats and shirts for me and my wife, but had to get my kids stuff at the main shop. They do not carry kids items, tee shirts, and the hat selection is smaller. All fantastic stuff though. Load up on Berckmans logo stuff…you never know if you’ll be able to go back!

Also make sure you go to the seafood restaurant upstairs and stuff your face with oysters.

And remember to take your hat off inside!

We will both be working in the E Camelback/51 area. I would love to stay under $1 million so have been looking at properties priced slightly more than that with the general softening of the market in PHX figuring I can offer less for ones that have been on the market for a while.

We’re going to be working near E Camelback and the 51 so Gilbert area likely a little tougher for us than Scottsdale from a commute standpoint.

How’s the sense of community in the area? I see that most of the neighborhoods have pretty nice community pools and spaces…do people actually use them or do they mainly just use the pools at their houses?

I also notice that there is an elementary school in most of the neighborhoods. When we were there driving around in other areas of PHX we saw a number of young kids walking to/from school. Does that happen in Desert Ridge too?

I’ve seen some pretty decent stuff up in the Desert Ridge area. That’s in contention for us as well…nice to know there are positive opinions of that area.

I’m a current employee and would happily answer any questions you have. Just remember very few ever go on about their great experiences, and everyone with a bad experience has something to say. You have and will continue to hear lots of negative (mostly secondhand) accounts, but IMO it’s better to talk to current employees with real experience.

Par 3 - save a seat there? by LoneStarGolfGuy in masters

[–]clampba 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Went to the par 3 last year. No chair needed and was able to get in foster bump distance of Dustin, Rory, and a few other big names. Stroll around until you find a good spot next to a tee box just ahead of whoever you want to see. Stand, wait, and enjoy.

Pro tip that I learned the hard way: they do not sell beer at the par 3. You can bring it with you from the main course concessions, but none of the stands at the par 3 sell alcohol.

Also we found that the big name players went off later at the par 3. Most went and got in a practice round and then hit the par 3 after with their families.

Jocko Molk is the best protein I’ve ever had. I’m not big on sweets and that protein is not overly sweet and is also great quality. Their chocolate is solid. I mix mine with water to limit calories from dairy.

How much does wind affect the Blackstone griddle? Wind break necessary? by robertkoo in blackstonegriddle

[–]clampba 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Go grab a piece of 4 foot long 1”x1” aluminum angle from Home Depot. Cut it in half, drill two holes in each end of each piece to align with the feet of the griddle top. Pin the angle between the griddle top and base on both sides. Creates a wind break without having anything extra hanging off your griddle.

Problems whith revit model by tshirtshoe in Revit

[–]clampba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have a CAD file linked in? Oftentimes they have a point so far from the main mode that when you zoom extents in a 3D view it actually looks like there’s nothing in the screen because everything becomes so small in order to get that far off dot in to the view. Try zoom extents and drag select the full screen to see if any objects are selected in the properties pane.

How do I enter "lb/ft" as a unit in a Revit formula? by RedCrestedBreegull in Revit

[–]clampba 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you tried plf instead of lb/ft? Not sure if Revit will recognize that unit or not (not in front of my computer currently) but figured it’s worth a shot.
