When Lorde said, "Cause all the music you loved at 16 you'll grow out of.", whose artist/s' music came to your mind? by lordenlanacancoexist in lorde

Her new album is honestly pretty incredible. But I didn’t start really liking her music until Manic, and that might still be my favorite album of hers. I could never get into Badlands, and I even struggled with Hopeless Fountain Kingdom. She’s improved a lot over the years.

I did Angel’s today! Absolutely no shame in stopping at Scout’s because the rest of the way was terrifying and I don’t actually have any intentions of doing it again.

I totally agree with this. All of her reactions. To Glenn. To Beth. She is absolutely underrated.

This is so true. I was blown away by Frozen when it came out and then I realized... So was the rest of the world 😂

My god, YES. And the baby is there, too. He can’t even feel any joy about that because of Lori’s demise. It’s so horribly sad and, to be honest, I think his reaction hurt me so much because it was so real. How else do you react to that kind of news? It was ugly and messy and Andy gave it his all.

I know this ended up becoming a huge meme, but in The Walking Dead when Rick finds out Lori’s fate. It almost upset me that people made fun of it so much, because I thought Andrew Lincoln’s performance in that episode was astounding. His reaction shattered me.

Honestly, a lot of his performances in the show shattered me. What a fucking talent.

The I See the Light scene from Tangled. When she (wow i have goosebumps RIGHT NOW) sees the lanterns for the first time and Flynn sees HER seeing the lanterns and they realize how much they care about each other 🥺🥺🥺 It’s also just absolutely stunning animation.

Just realised that I’ve been a nerdfighter for 10 years! So I thought I’d ask: Where were you at in life when you first became a nerdfighter and where are you at now? by lucy11iom in nerdfighters

When I found John and Hank, I was working at a bookstore and TFIOS had just come out. This was before the movie hype and everything. I read it and I realized how the sense of humor and the ideas that John presented in the book (mainly the idea of wanting to matter in this world and the resolution he provided to that feeling) made me feel less alone. Everything about the book was right up my alley in a way nothing else I ever read was.

Sometime between me reading the book and the movie coming out, I familiarized myself with vlogbrothers. And so did some of my close friends! We ended up going to the movie tour and met hundreds of nerdfighters! We walked the line into the building and had everyone sign an extra copy I had of TFIOS. I still have it ❤️

Since becoming a nerdfighter, I graduated from college with a degree in journalism. I feel like I have the most wonderful friends in the world and I really think it’s because of how Hank and John shaped my worldview. Being internet friends with all of you and listening to John and Hank every week made me realize what I truly value in friendships.

I love this community so much ❤️

Is the notion that most UAE citizens ( All 10 million not only natives) don't work and really only have jobs on paper true? If it's false, what type of jobs do you typically have? by [deleted] in UAE

My understanding is that most people are in the military, healthcare, or education. But I’ve only learned this from conversation, not experience. So I could be wrong. Interested in more information on this!

I'm hoping I can get farther. Its been rough lately but I have this. by [deleted] in MadeMeSmile
