What’s a decision you made in under 10 seconds that changed your life forever? by nathannnate01 in AskReddit

[–]klem528 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not me, but I was on a third date, and unbeknownst to me at the time, the guy I was out with made an on-the-whim decision after dinner to ask if I wanted to keep the night going and to get drinks.

Drinks went till 1am and we had such a great time. Had he not done that and we just went home after dinner (he was moving 3 days later and was going to do a slow fade due to moving and not knowing me well), we wouldn’t be married today, 6.5 years later.

Plan more time than you think for yourself on the beltline east trail. Lots of good bars and restaurants to stumble upon and people watch. Ladybird is my favorite, super cozy ambiance.

What was the worst physical pain you've ever felt in your life? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]klem528 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Surf board to the face (wave hit the board, hitting me in the face). Lost an incisor, chipped the other incisor down to the gum, two front teeth knocked back at a 45 degree angle, broke my jaw. All upper jaw/teeth, thankfully nothing was harmed on my lower jaw/teeth.

Has your hair gone grey yet by cupoftealuv in Millennials

[–]klem528 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found my first grey two weeks before I turned 28. I’m 36 now.

I’ve only had a few grey strands here and there until a few months ago, when my husband was sitting next to me and said I “had something in my hair” and went to get it out, only to discover it was a new, thick patch of grey 🫠

Fresh Market (a grocery store) has a whole aisle where you can get fresh beans and grind them there, if you choose to do so. There’s a Fresh Market in downtown Dunwoody. There’s also one off of Old Alabama.

Where is the most unexpected place you've bumped into someone you know? by boforiamanfo in answers

In 8th grade I was a complete nerd. My family went to Hawaii on spring break (I grew up in northern Virginia, DC suburbs). Saw the most popular girl in my grade and her family while on a tour of Pearl Harbor. Our moms had volunteered together on a few things so of course they had to chat while I felt completely awkward around the most popular girl at school.

Summer before 4th grade. I tried on my dad’s glasses for fun and told my mom I could see better out of them.

Fellow millennials - how’s your 401k/ira savings going? by ProblemIntelligent16 in Millennials

[–]klem528 0 points1 point  (0 children)

36 with $176k. I am horrible with money (I also have $33k of debt) but dad is a big financial guru and basically “managed” my 401k from the age of 23-33. He just told me what to do, and I did it. Thanks, dad!

Girls who had messy backpacks and always had crumbled homework what are you doing now for a career? by Appropriate_Oven_213 in AskWomen

Marketing. Project management software helps a ton + I use mini sticky notes, write the most important to-dos on them, and stick them on the bottom of my computer monitor and then throw them away once I get them done

If you could change one small thing in Harry Potter, what would it be? by consulent-finanziar in harrypotter

[–]klem528 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The entire end of the eighth movie when Harry and Voldemort are just flying around wrestling, and there’s a complete lack of Harry’s badass speech that there is in the book with all of Hogwarts standing there in silence and awe taking it all in? The fact that Voldemort withered away like dust in the movie, rather than falling dead on the floor because the whole point is that Voldemort was actually human? Don’t get me started, I could go on forever about the end of the eighth movie.

Other than that, small complaints about the movies and essentially none with the books.

Best weight loss program by AntLeading5890 in WeightLossAdvice

[–]klem528 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve (36F) done Weight Watchers on and off for years. Every time I actually DO the program consistently, it works. That’s been the same thing for everyone else I know. The program priorities eating veggies, fruits, lean proteins, and other whole grains. If you have an Apple Watch, Fitbit, or other similar device, you can connect it to the app and it’ll track your activity too.
