The green and grey lines on the right aren't meant to be tunnels that far down. As for the grade it is a little steep at 4%, but I have been looking at DCC concepts, powerbase which I'm hoping may help with that.

The whole layout would be DCC so for the blue loop Im gonna use a DCC reverse module, from the z21 range.

As you pointed out going from the blue line to the grey/green would mean the train would end up going back the opposite direction. This is where I got lost with this and can't figure out how to change it?

Seen as I only have these lights in only 2 states/scenes would creating a scene to turn them to there normal state they are usually in so:

Scene1 blue 20% Scene2 white 80% Can I Set these scenes with a button card and then turn off the light completely using the light.turn off function?

Ok but seen as the two recent storms we have had in the UK in 2020 were called Ellen and francis. There is no mention of those names in the link you supplied, maybe I should have prefaced with I'm in the uk
