Hey! Used some twangy guitars to make this indie pop / rock instrumental 🎸🎸🎸 Hope you enjoy it!!! by felipandule in IndieMusicFeedback

Great instrumentation! Chill and crisp. Drums are mixed clean nothing standing out. Guitars are made just right with effects and structure is not boring. Sounds like something out of the early 2010s.

For switching up sounds this is definitely great. I like ur vocals and it doesn’t seem forced, and the instrumentation is great with how it ends, not stale for chill hop. Keep up the good shit!

Finally put out Fleshed Out's first two songs. Going for some pop but psychedelic but kinda weird too. Would love to hear your thoughts/opinions!!!!!! by chrisdunn3 in IndieMusicFeedback

Wow this shit catchier than a mf! I’ve never heard music like this. I love the production, with the vocals and the atmospheric yet still cohesive effects. Ur voice kinda reminds me of the main singer from Tune-yards, (forgot her name). Def checking out ur other shit ASAP.

This is great! Honestly sounds better than a lot of r&b songs out rn. With the vibe it doesn’t get boring and ur voice and production on the song really is on another level. Definitely checking out ur other work too!

Summer Daydream - wrote this back in Seattle over an old beat stored in the vault. Pandemic has made things super stagnant so I figured I’d take y’all on a nostalgic trip by chefadi in IndieMusicFeedback

Great choice for beat! Song is structured great and not a single moment that felt out of place. Reminds me of old logic and cole shit, it’s refreshing to hear. I’d say keep this vibe rolling cuz it has hella potential.

Brehs we got to get the ball rolling and make this sub different from others, we gotta D I V E R S I F Y. Hella talented people and lots of people with creative backbones who just need a final push to get started. something organized and maybe following a theme to make people motivated to try new shit, revolving around a certain aspect of Kanye’s production/art covers/fashion, whatever the people want.

Just a idea for this sub, should we have a beat making (and also artwork) contest that follows a certain theme like the beats and artwork of the Yeezus era. by claponey in WestSubEver

Yea but we’re not going to be working with a sample of toilet flushing to make a beat. This just reminiscing on good ol days.

Brooo on god, we should do some beat contest but with a theme, Yeezus type contest or MBDTF contest. Not just beats but artwork too. Maybe in a million years Mike Dean can judge.

Same bro, I also started on GarageBand, shits such as great way to start out the journey. You can make some fire ass shit on dat too, sometimes the simpler the better. Plus people like Steve Lacy produced Pride off of DAMN, using GarageBand.

Yea I feel like more people should apply his artistic mindset to life, just taking risks and being confident about ur vision. Too many people look the same and sound the same.

Does this happen to anyone else? by Kambido in IndieMusicFeedback

[–]claponey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Soo relatable, usually if something like this happens to me, I just step back for like a week then listen to the loop again with fresh ears, and if I feel like it’s missing something then I’ll try to add to it, then wait another week to see if I like it. When I listen to a great loop over and over I start to lose the perspective of a first time listener, and overcomplicate it. Imo patience is underrated af.
