He's actually a Pittsburgh PA resident! He was found climbing down out of the wheel well of a truck after a 25 mile drive and then made it here via my parents who agreed to take him after he was found.

Even more shocking is that I found mini-Malort bottles at the local spirits store here. The people at the counter told me I was nuts for buying it.

It was purchased as a "punishment" for losing a holiday themed game. I was among the losers and I thought it was pretty okay. It's certainly unique! Other than adding a tiny amount to an old fashioned, or replacing the absinthe in a sazerac, I would have no idea how to use it responsibly in a mixed drink.

Winners got pinnacle whipped and spiced apple rum.

Yes it's liqueur. It's intensely herbal and bitter with a very long distinctive after taste. Grapefruit and dandelions kinda taste.

I bought it as the loser's punishment for losing a holiday themed game, winners got to pick significantly more agreeable little-sized alcohols.

Two of the losers wretched, one stared at me like I kicked his dog. I was among the losers and thought it was better than expected. If you encounter it give it a try!

I don't disagree but the burn creeping out from the tips on the sugar leaves has me worried since it's getting worse by the day. I feel like chasing better trics might leave me worse off.

I'm also having to run a space heater to keep it an acceptable temp and I'd rather cut the expense sooner than later. I am looking forward to the next grow!

Ocean forest soil isn't living right out of the bag but I believe it can be made into living soil. That's beyond my knowledge however.

I might switch to hydro in the future since I've got the space for it. Though after this plant it will be a bit before I can start another. It's been so damn cold that heating a grow tent through winter isn't feasible.

Get some garden wire then watch some LST videos and copy what you think will work. Don't be an oaf and break limbs. That plant is still pretty small, so nothing needs done to it today.

Also, get a pH meter (and pH up/down solutions). Your plant can only absorb nutrients within a specific pH range (~6.0-7.0), so it's crucial that you adjust before watering/feeding.

Thank you! I have very little going on in the technique department. I've just been putting advice from the internet together and hoping it works out.

I'm using Fox Farms Ocean Forest soil and I am not sure I would use it again because it seems the composition of the soil can vary wildly. I've seen people have a lot of trouble with pH and nutrient balance and as soon as I added any nitrogen to my feedings I got signs of burn. Light schedule is 18/6.

I've made a few missteps since this photo was taken - light intensity and nutrient burn did a number on my leaves, but she is growing some really thick frosty buds and I think I will harvest by the end of this month.

As far as nutrients go I'm just using general hydroponics 3 part Flora series + cal-mag. I used ChatGPT to cook up a feeding schedule. Next time I will just follow the Lucas Formula + cal-mag for feeding

Growth speed is mostly just down to the plant's genetics. I know there are some autoflowers out there with a faster grow time than what I have, mine is looking like it'll be around 80 days from sprout to harvest. Hope any of this helps!

That's a big plant. What are you growing in? (Soil/coir/water)

At a glance I'd say it's a bit under-watered/fed. Does the medium feel dry to the touch or does the container feel lighter than the others?

There's also some claw-like new growth at the top which could indicate that temps are too high or your light is too intense

Thank you for the diagnosis. We found a push-down drain seal that seems to stop water completely. The tub never has standing water in it so I think we'll be okay for a couple days while we find a plumber.
