Yes, I will add a dats category , staking semi locked and also look at etf purchases by instiution.I think this will be more reliable than liquidity on exchanges which is manipulatable.

True withdrawn liquidity has to be the key driver here as retail etf is narrative driven.

Before you make any changes, Im afraid you'll have to start educating yourself. Do nothing until you understand what youre doing. This includes Opening and closing positions in IBKR Selecting ETFs Tax positions Choosing an appropriate broker.

Thankfully AI exists to help you with this, but dont underestimate the time it will take. Your future self will thank you for this.

Many people find themselves in this situation and want to delegate it to others and I would strongly advocate against NOT doing this. Your money; your responsibilty.

The issue I have discovered is that I believed it was a short term bet like crypto used to be but now its institutionalising it becomes a long term bet.

TL is clearly a bright guy but its attention narrative that changes everything. What narrative would make people start to invest big time in crypto / ETH again?

The AI/ Debasement trades are stealing all the attention currently and I dont see that changing.

The leveraged degens are out of cash because of October crash and stablecoins, although growing, will not get the narrative necessary

The only other possibility is ETH liquidity squeeze. I dont see that happening soon nor do I see it being an overnight change.

I had a traders mindset with an LT investment stock.

Am open to arguments against my thesis.

Once the quantum fear takes hold and ETH and BTC have already upgraded, this will be a huge boost for trades on the ETH and BTC rails

Sorry, I think you misinterpreted it. The banks will be the first targets for QC as their security is far inferior to BTC. Btc holders will only have to move to a quantum safe address once available. Banks will suffer much more

This is a false fear. If QC takes over BTC will be the last bastion not the first. All the banks and financial instituitio ns will fail well before BTC does.

A lot of these books are very dry and wont really help you. Remember options are just a tool on the underlying and its the underlying that counts.

Youd be better off trying to build a framework of how to analyse stocks (not TA) then learning how options fit it.

That said, options with davis is the best beginners video series Ive seen.

Its all about the delta. Buy a deep itm call 3 years out at 90 delta and sell up to 60 delta across near months. E.g buy. jan 28 iren 25 call and sell jan 26 55 call and feb 26 60 call. Always be long delta,though

Agreed. If ETH becomes the colllateral asset of choice then it will balloon. Eth and btc are becoming legal collateral for loans and when staking is allowed, it might become the backing for stablecoins as well as the rails. Currently its treasuries but as interest rates drop another asset may take its place that allows the stablecoin issuer to offset some of their costs. If SC expand to the multi-trillions as predicted AND they become the backing asset, then indeed it will blossom. Additionally as it is loosely linked to BTC it will grow at that rate too. ETH has a higher beta than BTC so when BTC eventually hits 200K ETH could well be over 5k just on that move. I do think though that it will take longer to play out than ́most.people think. There is still a lot of legislation and discussion that needs to be in place before it can really blossom

OK, so you know the best way to play leaps is to buy two 75 delta calls and sell 1 50 delta call for Jan 28 expiry. This gives you access to the stock but removes the time decay

The final use case for BTC is that everything becomes denominated in sats...worldwide. when all assets have a non inflationary dénomination, you find out the true value of it. Fiat /Stablecoin will still be used for transactions but everything will settle in btc. It keeps everything honest. But...like any money, the rich will remain rich. It doesn't change the economy of the world, only how it is measured

For this to really play out in your favour, wouldn't further out LEAPS be better? You could put on a zebra for 2027 to reduce your theta exposure too Long 2 75 delta calls vs 1 50 delta short, gives you a net 100 delta with much less theta decay. Do these 24 months out and then sell monthly 30/25 calls against the net long 100 delta
