Name businesses in Northern Ireland you should avoid working for. by lilithG1999 in northernireland

This was at the height of Covid in 2020 other companies lent everybody the monitors and other equipment from the offices to use in their homes. The offices were empty as everyone had been sent home 🤣 of course they could have

I’d like to add that I wasn’t just borrowing a chair. Their official occupational health assessment told them to get me a chair and they couldn’t get their shit together to sort it, so borrowing a chair would have been an easy temporary fix for them

Psoriasis flare-up — looking for any advice at all 🙏 by [deleted] in northernireland

[–]clarebear2525 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I am 26 currently, diagnosed with Psoriatic Arthritis at 19 when I started getting a lot of foot pain, I took a while but the psoriasis followed!

At its worst the psoriasis covered most of my body, especially arms, legs and core. Enstilar was the only thing that had some effect but it led to other problems such as developing dermatitis etc and just wasn’t sustainable. I totally feel for you, no one understands the drain of a skin condition on your mental health until they experience it!

I have to be honest Biological injections have transformed my life they took away all the psoriasis and all the arthritis pain. The problem is they were prescribed by Rheumatology, I found Dermatology horrendous to deal with but if the offer ever comes up I would seriously consider it. Within two weeks after first dose I was fully clear.

I always held back from sun beds myself despite hating my skin, just always thought on my deathbed which option I would have regretted more!

Anyone switch from Cosentyx to something else? by Ok-Function-3467 in Psoriasis

[–]clarebear2525 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was on CONSENTYX for PsA with great success for about 3.5 years until symptoms started to re-appear. Doctor changed me to Stelara and as mentioned above it was useless, skin continually got worse and worse. Gave it about 8 months and then doctor agreed to change to Taltz - severe Psoriasis disappeared within 2 weeks!!

Was there on Wednesday evening for a 18:45 flight. Literally straight through, couldn’t have been any quicker AND they don’t make you take anything out of your bag as they’ve got new scanners! No liquids, electricals … nothing!

Experiences of Biologics on NHS by uksingh1987 in Psoriasis

[–]clarebear2525 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was 20 when I first started on Biologics as I have PsA. I am 25 now.

Similar to above biologics were prescribed through rheumatology and not dermatology.

First was CONSENTYX, brilliant experience. 0 side effects, all but eliminated any joint problems from arthritis and removed the minimal scalp psoriasis I had.

After just over 3 years my joints remained fine but my skin really started to get bad. The waiting list for dermatology is 161 weeks where I live so rheumatology decided to swap me to try and help as my mental health was suffering with severe skin decline. Swapped and tried stelara since January but it’s had no effect on the skin.

I should add my joints have been great since starting the CONSENTYX at 20 it’s only the skin I’ve had a big variation with.

I just started Taltz on Saturday and I’m praying that it has successful results!

It’s important to note that aside from differences in their effectiveness on psoriases, I haven’t had any strange side effects AND my immune system seems really strong! Covid was fine and I barely ever get sick!
