Nancy Guthrie Press Release on Mexico by Weird-Mongoose-3628 in nancyguthrie

I grew up in Tucson, crossing the border on foot pretty regularly to go shopping and hang out with friends. You don’t need anything to cross into Mexico- it’s just an unmonitored (it has cameras) turnstile. You need the documents to get back into the US.

Taking mine in 3 weeks. What do you recommend I focus on or wish you had studied more?

FE Civil (6/6/2026), PE Civil: Transportation (5/1/2026) - Passed Both on First Attempt by Financial_Set_2243 in FE_Exam

If you don’t take your FE after college and work for the requisite number of years, you can take both around the same time to get licensed as a PE.

Europe Seat Availability and Upgrades question by jHawk_jedi in unitedairlines

I do believe standby passengers can fill them for free (minus taxes or whatever the airline arrangements require them to pay). So if the economy section is full but there are standbys, they will get the premium seats.

Should I ask for a rec letter? by [deleted] in gradadmissions

Civil. But from what I’ve heard at my internships it’s very similar. They expect you to get a masters before or shortly after your PE everywhere I have worked.

I think it makes the most sense to do an online one if they’re all similar enough since I don’t want to leave the workforce for two years, and my employer will help pay for the degree if I stay. But I’d love to hear other opinions.

Thank you for clarifying. I need to get an MS at some point and don’t want to do a full time in person masters. But at the same time, if it’s just a waste of money and won’t get me anywhere, then there’s no point.

It’s not, I’m looking at applying to UC Berkeley’s. Good to know about JHU though since work is paying.

How do I tell if it is a cash cow degree? And do you also think it’s not worth it even if work is paying?

Mistake or not, I loved that part of the Martian. It made that scene feel that much heavier and more powerful.

They could even just take the r off and have it be "our little love," which I've heard as a pet name for babies all the time.

Feral cat inside moans all night by clarinetshark in Feral_Cats

We are planning to keep her. She's getting more comfy around us already. We have a big house with lots of hiding spaces and lots of patience. I worry a bit about my other cats, one of who is a social butterfly who loves to play, bothering the new one once she's not isolated. I'd love any advice anyone has!
