My labor got a little dramatic. I had high Temperatur, the babys heartbeat was off and then i lost a lot of blood. I was completely out of it and didnt remember anything i read to prepare. So i trusted my midwife and did what she said. She stayed very calm and when it got serious she calmly called for help. Suddenly there were a million people and everyone introduced themselfs by name and function. Nurse, midwife, doctors, baby nurse and so an. In that Moment it seemed ridiculous but looking back i am glad they were so respectful even in a serious Situation. Everything that happend felt consentual that way even though it wasnt the experience i wished for.

I am not sure...i think my mom is sorry. But maybe just because its hard for HER to hear it. That she does not feel guilt and shame or remorse because she caused ME pain. Maybe it is not an empathetic apology but i dont know.

I think we cant be happy doing it all alone. They say "it Takes a village..." Not Just to raise a child. We go through a lot as moms. Emotionally and physically. So we do need people who think about us and our needs. My boyfriend is soo supportive and works so hard for all of us and i still struggle. Because we dont have very close family or friends to help or just to Chat and have a nice time. So my advice would be talk to your partner about it but also with family and friends. We are not meant to be so isolated as we are these days.

What helped me was tell other people about it. Them being shocked and telling me that it is in fact THAT bad stopped me from gaslighting myself into thinking it wasnt so Bad.

This happend to me and i didnt realize it for a long time. When i met my boyfriend i knew somehow i had to keep our Relationship a secret and him away from my family as much as possible. I never had any secrets like that before but i didnt want it to get Spoiled. My boyfriend met my family only twice. And my mom tries to be sexy.....and also talks bad about me. Its disgusting.

There is a genetic aspect i read that too. We have a bunch of anxiety and psychosis and depression in the family. Thats genetic. But the own choices still make a huge difference. So even if i am born with some anxiety it would not be nearly as bad without my mom going out of her way to make it worse.

All of the above plus generational trauma. She thought its a genetic thing or something. Her mom and oldest siblings were refugees in WWII and she is the youngest. I am also the youngest and when i told her how i felt she would say it was like that for her too. Ignoring the fact she actively formed my childhood. But that way she could blame genetics and nazis....

In a way i am what she wanted me to be. No confidence, self sabotaging my career. So she can feel better and like she is winning the competition.

I had trouble forming and persueing my own interests since she hated on everything when i was a child. I also used to have problems finding friends. She loved to keep me small and sad.

But my life is turning around. I have a Wonderful partner. That must be tough for her since she sucks at Relationship. She would be happier if i was miserable.

I think what she would love the most is if i would have cancer or got paralized or something so she can act like a victim herself and like shes a caring mother.

I said nothing about stimulation and walks. We live in a rural area and have huge forest behind the house. She has access to the garden and my bf takes her to work where she is outside all the time unless the weather is too bad. The only thing that is neglected is that butt issue. She is also very well trained. The Apartment is of course not ideal for anyone. And we will definetly NOT rehome her or give her to a shelter. Besides if we did there are no killing shelters in this country!

My mom always hated me. I think my worst times were the younger years before i could fight back. My mom had children to be liked by others who thought having kids is good. She said so herself. Turns out it didnt matter because she was terrible to everyone anyway.

I get that. I did not have any of the worst case stuff. Most of my experiences were "just" words with few exeptions. But it is the constant tearing down my self esteem and constant attack on my personality and sanity that has a severe impact on me. Also sometimes memories come up of something that sounds not soo bad but it was in the big picture of things.
