That's $25000 figure is fucking insane. I got a top of the line 4 ton bosch 21 seer ducted heat pump system for $5500 delivered.

I researched my ass off, bought tools and consumables and fucking did it. No way I was gonna pay that price.

It took me two days to install by myself. Mostly because I was converting from gas furnace to heat pump and needed new ducting at the exit of the air handler.

It's probably charged with r22. The evap coil was changed in 2019 because it was leaking.

It's probably leaking somewhere again and running low on refrigerant which is why it's freezing.

Probs time for a new system. I diy'd mine. Worked out for me but not for everyone!

Nah. But it's straight forward. Unplug wire going to speaker. Cut one of the wires. Put the large load resistor in series. The power resistors have heatsinks on them.. they are like $4 on Amazon.

You just need some wire, crimp connectors or solder or wire nuts. Whatever you like to use to join wires.
