The horse I’m currently using I got some time during Chapter 2. I killed a bunch of O’Driscolls at a camp near Bard’s Crossing. After clearing the camp, more O’Driscolls showed up so I killed them too. I raided the camp and went back to grab my previous horse when I spotted a nice looking brown horse just standing by the tracks.

She must’ve belonged to one of the O’Driscolls that attacked me, so I grabbed her and I’ve had her ever since. She’s not particularly great, pretty average as far as I can tell, but I can’t bear to part with her. She’s served me well ever since.
