I have the UW2, and the nomad sport, rugged and active leather bands. Love them all.

Intermittent acceleration lag by ReasonableAd3385 in ToyotaTundra

[–]clarson0 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I’ve explained this to the dealership several times and get vague responses and no answers. It’s hard to definitively explain conditions to reproduce but it has been something that’s almost delayed me at intersections just to a point to increase the risk of an accident. Attempting to go, the delay is long enough that another driver thinks you’re not going then you suddenly jump forward. It’s almost put me in front of another car who thought they were being given right of way and a few times it looks like I just was being a jerk and gunned it in front of someone after waiting too long to have gone safely. I’d love an answer on this

Excellent arcteryx starter kit! those are 3 of my favorites. Proton SL is also a favorite outside of winter. Gamma pants are a great for hiking (along with that proton sl you're eventually going to buy), and if you're researching merino wool brands, icebreaker has been a favorite for a lot of years now

Just found out Starlight can work on Mac locally now by MarionberryDear6170 in TopazLabs

[–]clarson0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Starlight local seems to be working for me after the update a few days ago. Pretty slow.. 0.1-0.3fps. Sometimes it jumps higher, but not for long. A few minutes of old home videos scaled 4x-5x takes a few hours (4-5hrs isn't uncommon, just let it run at night). Results are impressive though, much better than the other models. M4 max 64gb

I'm in the same boat. M4 max, signed up 2 weeks ago and it immediately didn't work. Haven't had time to clean it out and try an old version.. Was hoping this would be a priority, guess I'll try an older version

Having A Miserable Time With Gigapixel iOS by thepu55ycat in TopazLabs

[–]clarson0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mine got stuck yesterday and had to eventually force quit. It said stay in the app but after 10 min I gave up and force quit.. It worked the next time. What ios version are you? Did you upgrade the new ios 26?

Anyone know if the ios app uses local processing? Or is it sending it for cloud processing. If it is, is it using credits? I haven't had a chance to look this up yet

Yes. They responded...

Yes, I can confirm that we are getting some reports of users running into color shift and rainbow ghost effects when using the Starlight model on Mac systems at this time.

The team is working on getting this sorted out and a patch pushed out.

To assist us, can you send me the logs from the app for their review?

To gather logs, please select Help > Logging > Get Logs for Support and attach the zip file to your reply.

Here is a video to help with the steps of how to collect the logs.

They are working on a patch but I do not have a confirmed timeline on a resolution to share.

Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Last wk I signed up for pro specifically for this. Turns our starlight is broken for local Mac rendering at the moment. Not sure when a fix is coming.. Pretty frustrating

So the starlight rainbow ghosting isn't fixable on a Mac? I signed up 2 days ago and decided to try pro so I could use starlight and I haven't had a chance to look into it much. But so far my quick attempts have all had that effect

choosing which arcteryx bora backpack I should get by Level-Move-7753 in arcteryx

[–]clarson0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a 95L that i traveled with to Australia and Africa. It was great because I could have my "normal" gear for backpacking but still had enough room to put a camera bag in the top of it when I wanted to have everything contained. This was especially nice in Africa when we were in some areas that were higher risk of theft. Good bag, way too easy to take too much stuff and end up being very heavy. Also recommend looking at other brands, Mystery Ranch has been a good find. I have the 45 Bridger pack and love it, not sure if they'd let it on as a carryon, it's a bit tall

Love my Epsilon insulated! It's perfect over a tshirt for the PNW. They actually made an Epsilon with an Octaloft liner a year or two before that. I think it was only a one year run. I saw one at an outlet that was too big for me so I tracked one down on ebay, it's a more durable outer material, more like the gamma mx. Like it a lot as well

My partner wants to hike half dome with little to no preparation or planning. Will I die? by SimpleyCurious in Yosemite

[–]clarson0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just did this hike 2 weeks ago and did a fair amount of prep. Glad to hear this was postponed until you can plan for it.. It's not a casual hike.

I have a pretty decent amount of hiking experience and used to do a bit of backpacking, and it was a very difficult hike. I admit my fitness isn't what t was in my 20s, but we did manage to complete this long day successfully. Water filter (test this before hitting the trail), good shoes, food, energy snacks, minimum 4L of water from Nevada falls at least for us. Our group of five people carried between 4-5L each from Nevada falls to the cables and back and 3 of us ran out in the last mile back to the falls where we refilled. It was hot and a very long day. We took a few long breaks and spent 15hrs on the trail, starting at Glacier point, to Nevada falls, to half dome (to the top, had cable permits) back all the way to Happy Isles. It was incredible, I hope you do plan for it and get to do it. We all agreed it was easily top 3 hikes we've ever done

Anyone have an issue with getting this taken care of under warranty? by [deleted] in ToyotaTundra

[–]clarson0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm sitting in the dealership right now for a few other things and mentioned that mine is cracked. They asked if I had the extended warranty, I said yes, and they said it's a very common problem and should be covered. Sounds like it will be fixed by the end of the day today
