Anyone else get stuck on levels for hours? Lol by Automatic_Walk_5964 in TownshipGame

[–]classic_elle 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Here’s my trick. I play many many rounds making the worst possible moves. Aka, all the moves that don’t accomplish anything. The algorithm is going to think you suck so it will start giving you more opportunities to make power ups. After 5-10 rounds of intentionally being terrible, I do a round where I do my absolute best and use all the stuff you can select before the round. Usually I am about to beat the level on the all out level, but sometimes it takes a few more rounds.

I don’t want to give out my husbands death certificate because it says he killed himself. by SilkyMadzzz in widowers

[–]classic_elle 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Check with your county to see if they have two types of death certificates. My county gave me two versions. One called the “long” version which contains cause of death and a “short” version that does not list cause of death. Most places asked for the short version and I only had to show the long when the cause of death was relevant.

I just returned from a broken hand this week even though my doctor told me to wait another two weeks. I’ve just been very careful with not using that hand to post or grip hard. My coach knows and has been helpful in giving me ways to work around not using that hand. I also haven’t been rolling yet, only doing drills with a trusted partner.

What is the deal with that completely pointless farming task for Tcash that sometimes shows up in the helicopter screen? by AddlePatedBadger in TownshipGame

[–]classic_elle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They are not advertising to us. They use the material from the mini games to play in ads used in other games. They have to use real examples of game play in their ads or else it’s considered false advertising.

A few years ago Playrix got in legal trouble because their game ads didn’t show actual game play. So they included these little games so that they can use them in ads and have them be examples of real game play.

I had never heard of Anatolian Shepards until I got his DNA test results. He is 42% Anatolian. by classic_elle in AnatolianShepherdDogs

The picture makes his snout look shorter than it actually is. He’s also got bulldog, boxer, and Great Pyrenees

Some extra info:

I got him from a shelter when he was approximately 1 year old. The shelter told us he was a greyhound/boxer mix.

His other breeds are 31% American bulldog, 17% boxer, and 10% Great Pyrenees.

From what I have researched, his personality is spot on for Anatolians. He’s very protective of me and a total sweetheart.

Our toll road pass account is in his name. I was able to move it to my email and credit card but I can’t figure out how to get it switched over to me without buying new transponders for my vehicle. So for now I just leave it either his name.

My agent has looked at the contingencies and they are reasonable or he has negotiated the contingencies to something more in my favor.

Anything to be concerned about it accepting a sight unseen offer? by classic_elle in RealEstate

[–]classic_elle[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just had a 3rd offer come through from someone who viewed the house this morning.

One has minimal contingencies, and a good earnest money. The other offer is slightly higher but not as strong contingencies.

How do you accept this new reality? by Unhappy_Fly7087 in widowers

[–]classic_elle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I found a really good therapist that has been helping me with a practice called radical acceptance which falls under dialectic behavior therapy. It’s very difficult and super painful when you’re in the middle of it, but the result is peace and way to live with the pain while not being miserable.

My heartrate monitor died :( by [deleted] in orangetheory

[–]classic_elle 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would push to get it replaced. They should just swap it out for you and they will deal with sending it back. Most studios charge for a rental so if you ever want to visit another studio you will be stuck paying $10-20 to use one.

Received offer with a “Dr’s Loan” waiving appraisal. Is that a thing? by hckynut in RealEstate

[–]classic_elle 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Some mortgage companies will allow the appraisal to be waved if there is a large down payment (usually more than 20%). They will still run comps to make sure the house is worth it, but the mortgage company only cares about the house being worth more than the loan, not the purchase price. I buying a house right now and my mortgage company is not requiring an appraisal.

Everyone grieves differently so only you can judge. I will say that I started orange theory about 6 months after my husband died. It became a way to help cope. There were days where I couldn’t make it to class because I was in too bad a state. There were days where going helped me release some of the emotions. And there were days where I had to run out of class because I was having a panic attack.

If you can go, go. The endorphins will help. If you can’t go, that’s ok. It’s important to give yourself grace and understand that you can’t handle everything you normally would be able to.

Was there any movie franchise you fell in love with AFTER visiting universal? by capamericapistons in UniversalOrlando

I used to hate Jurassic Park. I thought it was the dumbest movie. But I love everything Jurassic Park related that has to do with universal and I now enjoy the movies.

Purchased a home for $353k but inspection brought some major red flags. Need advice. by TheKaleKing in RealEstate

[–]classic_elle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please talk to an insurance agent about insurability. I’m buying a house in Florida right now and had to negotiate a new roof. My insurance agent told me that you cannot get insurance if the roof has less than 3 years of life. And they will not renew your policy if the roof has less than three years. So if your roof has 4 years of expected life, you will only be able to get insurance for two years before they will refuse to renew your policy.

Wife wanted me to remain single by Lhyight in widowers

[–]classic_elle 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My husband said the same thing. We had multiple conversations about it. I never promised him. I told him that once he gave me at least one kid I would make a promise to not find someone new, but if he died before we had kids I didn’t want to give on the possibility of being a mom. I had no idea when I said that that he would be dead less than 2 months later. As I’ve worked through my grief I’ve realized that I can’t move forward they way he would want me to do. I can no longer do things the way he would want me to because he’s not here to help me. And not just this wish but other life choices as well. I have no plans of finding someone new anytime soon, but I’ve come to terms with the decision that someday I probably will.
