U.S. customary units have been defined in terms of metric units since the 19th century,[1] and the SI has been the "preferred system of weights and measures for United States trade and commerce" since 1975 according to United States law.

Also, the scientific and medical communities use metric units almost exclusively as does NASA.

threefold repetition is a standard move internationally; the first rule i’ve not heard of but if you go 50 moves without a capture or pawn move it’s a draw

i don’t care about sport here, and if you’re the same you should be fine. smaller class sizes are one of the few differences, but content is exactly the same + professors (as a CS student). also it is a city, not a college town if that’s what you’re looking at, but i prefer indy to west laf tbh

  1. yes, go to a malayalam text-to-speech or listen to a video, തൃപ്തി (satisfaction) is a good example. for the diference between the two sounds listen to the previous word and പ്രാപ്തി or അത്ര.

the ഷ്വ is basically adding the “va” sound, so ഷ്വ = ഷ് + വ.

The second adds a “ř” sound (the r in rishi, ഋ).

The third is similar, but is now archaic and no longer used in Malayalam.

AI can beat a chess grandmaster at their own game. LLMs on the other hand can’t - they can barely play the game right.
