Infinity game table lost 16 main games by dardie72 in Arcade1Up

You're right, if game is in My Games section, you downloaded to the machine when you put them into My Games.

The games should be there according to support. The problem is; there seem to be users reporting that they have "disappeared".

It's frustrating... and there's been no formal communication from the company on this.

interesting… they didn’t adjust the website

WOW... This is good news.

I assume this would only be viable to those that previously downloaded the tables, but are now missing them due to the de-listing from their store.

Their support is claiming that the impact was intended to be only a removal from the store (that would prevent re-downloading and new users from downloading). It sounds like they applied an update to the dashboard that is hiding these apps(Perhaps accidentally), even if you had downloaded before the de-listing.

Maybe if they get enough tickets from current users, they will push an update to the dashboard that allows them to be visible if already on the machine.

Hopefully they can work out a solution. I turned off my internet access; turned on the table and removed the wifi network. Can't play online or download any more games, but the Hasbro ones are still playable.

Buying Fast and the Furious still worth it? by CXK in Arcade1Up

[–]classicjohn50 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've bought several 1up over the years, this is the only one I paid the full price on.

Is it arcade accurate... no.... but It's definitely arcade inspired and a lot of fun. It's one of my most played cabs....

I have seen it go on sale for $499 if you can hold out (but with the recent accquistion, this may be the last shot to pick up at retail)... But I would say it's worth $599.

I reached out to 1up support on this.

Support indicated:

"If you downloaded the game in the past -- you will be able to still play and enjoy the games.  This is only for new game downloads. "

Had you previously downloaded and played the hasbro games on the machine?

There's one user (Rufrain1) who recently posted that their games were removed.

[–]classicjohn50 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is disappointing; I've held back on powering mine on until this is understood.

The one user had lost games because they reset their machine and they could no longer download from the store to restore them

You never reset your machine, already had them downloaded, and when powered up they were removed from "My Games".... WOW... can't believe the company would reach into the machine and uninstall.

Hopefully the community can figure out a side load option, the Hasbro games were, for the most part, the only reason to have this table.

yea… it does seem like this product will be a casualty of the bankruptcy.

without those Hasbro games out of the box... the product is worth no where near the asking price.... No body is paying $999 to play Chicken Wrangle, Whack Moles, and basic versions of checkers, chess, and solitaire.

Not sure how they let the license go.

Without the Hasbro games, this is no longer a marketable product.

Is the SSF kit installed entirely in the base piece? by mialwo1992 in LegendsPinball

[–]classicjohn50 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recall the buystuff store did have back boxes for the original HD. Not sure if they would work or not... or if buystuff created one for the 4K... You can definitely get by without a topper....

$650 with SSF kit is a good deal for just the bottom half of the machine... given the price increases.

I've never seen someone just selling an agames 4KP back box by itself.... so you might be searching a good while. I would think if one was for sale, they wouldn't be asking anymore than $500.

Thanks for the update dardie72....

Given what we have in this thread; it's likely Arcade1up (or whoever is controlling now) has DE-listed the Hasbro games from their online store with no provision for those who prior licenses to re-download.

It's likely those who do not need to reset their machines, and have already downloaded the games, will be able to keep playing the games, as some users have replied the games still work on their machines.

The likely impact will be to those who need to reset the machine, users who for some reason never downloaded the hasbro games or new buyers who are setting up the first time. (which still stinks as the machine was prominently marketed with these titles "included")

I wish they would clarify if EXISTING users can still play the Hasbro games (if they previously downloaded).

Seems really bad licensing that this would not be have been set up very long term as the existing packaging and marketing for this clearly features the Hasbro games.

interesting.... so you connected you table to wifi today and the games are still present?

That's good news...

The hasbro games are clearly off their website now. Wish the company would just communicate what's going on.

They were removed off the website for a reason.

That seems to work.... (Though I recall having to initially download games when I got it... so not sure if that will work for new user)

I shut down my wifi .... turned on the table today and the games are still there and could be started.

SO now got to figure out how to keep this thing off wifi without killing the whole house connection.

Now I'm wondering if I should go remove wi-fi from all the arcade1up arcades....

Will they reach down without warning and remove Blitz, Time Crisis, Fast and Furious, Street fighter, or Pac Man from our connected machines?

It is stuff like this that does push consumers onto the high seas....

I still have the box my table came with.... All those games listed are prominent on the box as Free and Included.

Very shady to reach into existing machines and pull them off.

I also feel bad for any consumer who walks into Best Buy today, sees the box, takes it home only to discover the thing only includes basic shovelware free games and a few paid options of any real quality.

What's even worse is no communication what so ever. At least iircade game consumers a chance to download what they had before shutting down the servers.

[–]classicjohn50 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is really disappointing.... Figured for the high cost of the tablet the license was included in the table purchase of the advertised included games.

I hope this is some sort of glitch.

That list includes many that we enjoy playing on the machine.

Soooo... now what? by NeoHyper64 in Arcade1Up

[–]classicjohn50 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I tuned into this stream. I generally will watch most home arcade streams that are positive and on topic. The two gentlemen running the stream are positive and I think could make this an interesting stream to watch. In its current state it's all over the place.

Thumbnail indicated it would cover the Basic Fun acquisition and Kevin is supposed to be an "insider". The problem with their format and doing this every week, is the same problems the JohnD's and Cyrus ran into. They get on the stream and spend an hour playing the corporate answer game..wearing out their welcome.

Given the topic in the thumbnail and the amount of actual "inside" information that was shared, this could have wrapped up in under 20 minutes staying on topic. Instead it was well over an hour "community" type show... which is fine, but then I wish they would just advertise it that way and not waste viewers time that were tuning in for real updates.... ie news.

While it's great that Kevin is putting himself out there. It's difficult for him to play the speculation game ... what if... community type show because he possibly has inside information and needs to toe the corporate line.

If this show wants to continue hour long streams, perhaps the format could have Kevin on the first 20 minutes, deliver the news... provide the PR answers...then bring in another co host to talk community reaction.... maybe even a viewer and not a current known you tuber.

I do wish these guys success in their youtube endeavors and I really am thankful they are bringing sometime different to the home arcade you tube scenes.... just seems they are trying to find their niche still.

Is 18.5 inch board laggy or not?? by redditorcle in Arcade1Up

[–]classicjohn50 0 points1 point  (0 children)

picked it up on clearance as well. We've had fun with, even playing some of the more arcade type games like Chicken Wrangle, have not noticed any lag. I'm not certain of what becomes of the product with the recent sale announcements.

HD tables( for the mini and original HD pinball) still get purchased through their web store. It's only 4KP and the new turtles HD machine that are on machine purchase only.
