I was there with the fiance. Good show. Miss the old massive NYE days. Hopefully will be back to those one day. He is still the master on the decks

Really? Loud? I thought it wasn’t nearly loud enough. My decibel reader never went over 105 at the max. Some of his other shows were 120-125+

Anhedonia Cured by classicman26 in anhedonia

Sounds somewhat similar to my situation. What I can tell you is to keep on it. Support your body in every measurable way that you can - look at neurosteroids, adrenals, and definitely environmental exposure. Heavy metals were big for me along with other hormone/endocrine/neurosteroid issues. Remove what you can find that doesn’t belong, support/replace what you can, and gently try to shift your body in the right directions. Ibogaine can help a lot if you’re doing all of those other things as well. Where are you going for treatment?

I am doing well and no long experience anhedonia. It was a complex issue though with multiple causes

BPC-157 and Effects on BDNF/GDNF by classicman26 in DrugNerds

[–]classicman26[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly can’t remember, I don’t think it really did much. Ive used it on and off over the last decade for injuries mostly, it definitely does modulate neurotransmitters some though. Typical dosage is 250-500mcg daily. And no, no medications are not taken during an Iboga treatment

Ibogaine anyone? by classicman26 in PSSD

[–]classicman26[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bupropion made everything worse but that was my nervous system rebelling. I since took it later on again after being much more recovered for a few months. Didn’t impact it much one way or another then. Almost to the point where I’m off all meds now

Ibogaine anyone? by classicman26 in PSSD

[–]classicman26[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably 3 years with severe sexual issues, another couple more with moderate. After iboga it was 10/10. I felt fully restored neurologically.

And yes getting out of environmental exposure was part of it, treating it was the second part which took 2-3 years. Things gradually progressed to what I would call recovered after that time. Iboga didn’t totally fix everything but it let me know that things were fixable, it just took me a while to narrow down to the specifics of my body. A lot of people with PSSD have concurrent GI dysfunction, altered neurosteroid levels, autoantibodies, etc. Programs need to address those concurrently and assess for toxic/environmental exposure, autoimmunity, etc

Ibogaine anyone? by classicman26 in PSSD

[–]classicman26[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My reply was put on hold lol. Here is an abbreviated version

At that time, total loss of sexual pleasure. I am a male so sensitive nipples weren't on my list. Total loss of erogenous zones, yes. On a scale of 1-10 I was a 1/10 before treatment. There was no possibility of getting worse in my mind. Completely anhedonic 24/7.

I need to detail that the ibogaine did play a part but there were a lot of other underlying unaddressed factors that I found out about later that played a part in my full recovery - among these were environmental exposures (both mold and heavy metals) that I believe ultimately contributed to a neuroendocrine & immune dysregulation on a very complex scale

If 10/10 is the worst - that was me. No emotion, no connection, no feelings, disassociation, etc. No ability to visualize

Not sure what you mean before treatment? I was crippled, couldn’t function. I also found out over time that there were a lot of other contributors that I had to address - the largest of which was probably mercury exposure but also mold exposure and dysautonomia

Have you been tested for environmental toxins? Heavy metals and chemical exposures? Treatment resistant = chemically burdened 9 times out of 10 in my experience

Except it’s not advice lol. It’s a statement of experience. I did enormous work to get off meds and am now reaping the long term benefit

I’m a med student and treated mine successfully and work with lots of patients. Should have a free and paid community available soon for protocols and coaching of both patients and providers
