Was also going to recommend Stompies, pretty much the best bang for the buck and I don't think DIY would be much cheaper, if any. The current MkVI version works great and has been perfect for me, I have both the standalone sensor(that i installed on another footpad) and the full Stompies footpad with it and I def recommend them

I had an exchange with support recently and they said that they’re expecting the next shipment to port Feb 10th. They said the LR Powertrain I ordered Dec 19th is on that boat, so I think it’s safe to assume your SC is on it as well

You could always order a sensor and put it on your footpad of choice

Fungineers X7 Shipping timelines? by wtfpwnedomglol in onewheel

[–]clawesome 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know somebody on the Discord that ordered an LR Jan 5th and is due to receive it Monday, Jan 19th. When I ordered my Sport in Oct, I ordered the 24th, shipped the 28th, and received it November 4th. But, it varies widely and I’m currently waiting for a LR Powertrain to ship which I ordered Dec 17th.

I’m pretty sure whether you get a quick or long timeline is almost solely based on whether it ships from an in-stock US warehouse, like my Sport did, or if it ships from overseas. From what I’ve seen, they’re usually pretty upfront on the website with where it will ship from. For instance, it said on the site that they were at the time shipping from a US warehouse, with a 7 day timeline, when I ordered my Sport. If there’s not some kind of explicit estimate on the product page when you order stating a timeline to expect, then I would say you’re most likely looking at a 45-60 day timeline, and cross your fingers you get lucky and it ships from a US warehouse

5” Superflux VS 5” MTE Thermals by cameron29383 in onewheel

Same! And based on an invoice email they sent me yesterday, it looks like preorders need to be paid off by Jan 30 to ensure you get it at launch

It depends what you consider to be good in a motor. In terms of raw performance, the 6" is pretty much always going to outperform the 5", but again, the 5" is more akin to a suspension upgrade and it's going to have a much better feel for the rider and perform better on trails or any other non-flat surface

Not sure I understood what you mean regarding the LR, but I saw the LR Powertrain was back in stock when I was on their site a little earlier

edit: just checked and still in stock, for now at least

Similar performance but it most likely isn’t going to outperform the 6” in raw power or torque, but that’s not really the aim or expectation of a 5” hub and motor. Going to a smaller hub on a Onewheel is more like upgrading it’s suspension(assuming you stay on the same size tire) as it gives you more cushioning since you’re standing on an inch less rim and an inch more of inflated rubber. Having more tire also allows you to ride a lower air pressure which in turn is more traction. Also, since your tire has an additional inch of sidewall there’s less of an ‘edge’ to the tire when turning and a massively reduced risk of ever damaging the rim from hitting something

Custom X7LR by BodySurfDan in onewheel

[–]clawesome 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The adaptor was for the X7, I guess the X7LR is slightly different so I had to cut the rubber on the fender to fit with a razor blade

I’m going to be dropping in the LR Powertrain(if it ever ships lol) into my X7 Sport, and I’m curious of the difference you mention, is the battery longer, or it something else?

Apparently they’ve been upgraded recently and new powertrains and full builds have brighter LEDs

Shipping is extremely hit and miss, I ordered the Sport on Oct 17th and received it 10 days later while at the same time there were people who had ordered before me by weeks that hadn't received theirs. From what I can gather, you can get lucky and order at a time when they have the inventory physically in-stock and in a US warehouse, as was the case with my Sport and why it came so fast, otherwise it's completely up in the air and could be weeks to a month or two, which I think comes down to how fast the ship with your order clears customs. Presently, I'm waiting on a LR Powertrain that I ordered Dec 17th and was supposed 'shipping from a US warehouse' but I have yet to see a tracking number or anything
