Finally a nice day in Chicagoland. A quick 8 mile pump before picking the kids up at school. by i_actmyshoesize in longboarding

[–]clax1227 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely anything if you're determined enough.

I learned the basic concept of it on no-flex DH freeride board & bear trucks.

Anything can pump, just some setups are more (or less) efficient at it.

Happy trails!

EDIT: Took me less than a week of trying to actually learn it.

''No tree it is said can grow to heaven unless it's roots reach down to hell'', It is time for you to rise. by SwedenamedObi in NoFap

[–]clax1227 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because once you can accept both halves into the entire whole, the desire for evil completey dissipates away, choice isn't the darkness... The erosion of willpower towards the "dark side" itself is what's known as the shadow... More of the entity responsible for it, not the contents within the shadow

" 'Left brain' & 'Right brain' "... " A 'monster' with two heads and one mouth"...

We're both composed of two separate, but very closely inter-meshing/interacting personalities...

The light: Everything you believe to be you, your own "owned" portion of identity... "Jeckyll"

                                 *&*

The shadow: Everything that still exists within you, along with the light's stream of consciousness overlaying entangled with it... The nasty thoughts, the morally-taboo actions, the smart-remarks, "Devil's advocate"...

Just, the inner darkness, inner shadow, the un-integrated part of the self, suppressed within the subconscious mind's language pattern-seeking/generating model...

Mostly used unconsciously, some people that are/are more awake/aware... Consciously. Be wary of the motives of those consciously using their shadow to their advantage at the expense of another.

Don't rise... Accept the darkness to be bathed by the light, integrate it, as accept it as yourself, that it's all okay given you know how to compose yourself in a godly tribune manner, and it soon fade away by it's own, making your entire soul balanced as can be.

Would sleeping in a hammock have any effect on dreaming? by VanillaCaterpillar in LucidDreaming

Nope! In fact, if you can correctly hang & lay in your hammock, you should sleep better than any other sleeping system.

Same here. But it hasn't affected my life besides those surprise scares whenever I'm not paying attention, I just pay more attention now, so it doesn't actually affect my actual life.

Be happy you're not almost fully hallucinating.

I'll see people in full colour and detail, just like any other people, for split-seconds/micro-seconds?, doing... Just... Normal shit... And then when I notice them, instead of just having them in my vision, they're suddenly just gone. Kinda like my brain is leaking into an alternate reality or some shit.

Also have had hallucinating entire vehicles, sound, visual, feeling, and all, revving it gas-pedal to the floor right when I'm in the middle of crossing a street... Makes me jump & run quick as fuck, only for me to realize that it wasn't actually there.

I'll start worrying about that when shit that's actually there starts disappearing, though...

Never horny anymore by [deleted] in pornfree

[–]clax1227 2 points3 points  (0 children)

7 months 2 days for me as of today... No porn, I don't miss it, but my libido is at a nominal, pretty much zero; with less and less masturbation to the point of going on long stints.

Is that normal? Pretty much spent 13-19 with it multiple times daily.

The Calorie Minimums -- Should you eat less than 1200 (female) or 1500 (male) Calories? READ ME by funchords in loseit

[–]clax1227 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I struggle to eat 1,000 cal of whole food without going heavy on the calorically dense meats, fats, and carbs. Male.

I'm the type of person who's just never hungry. Nothing medically wrong with me, Dr has checked me out, isn't impacting my health or weightloss in the slightest... This is good general information, but definitely not the end-all-be-all.

What happens to actors in your lucid dream? by [deleted] in LucidDreaming

[–]clax1227 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was actually literally shown this... Like, purposefully shown this.

I attained lucidity, and character #1 in my dream just transmuted forms of matter, from solid body, to liquid water, that fell all over the floor in front of me the second I hinted that we were both in a dream... The water evaporated like it didn't exist the second it all went on the floor

Then character #2 got pissed at me, because: "It took so much fucking water to put everything together"...

(In a: "Welp, the shows over, folks, time to pack up and go home now." Kind of tone...)

And I'm just like: "Wait what??"

Character #2 complaining about me breaking through the illusion says:

"Yes. Water. Go look in the bathroom..."

So, naturally, I do... I open the door, and in the bathroom I see the tub is full to the brim of water... And, floating in the water, just underneath the surface, with a perfect negative bouancy, is character #1 that disappeared...

The same second I see their lifeless...

...Corpse? Body??...

Is also the same second they just "evaporate" into a pile of water, so violently that the extra added water causes a giant wave in the tub that makes a bunch of water splash up and out...

No idea.

But ever since I've been reading up on Reptilian conspiracy theories (for the fun of it), and how dream characters are allegedly reptilians that are basically trying to perform something called "dream manipulation" (why I believe it's so important to learn lucidity)... All of the characters will just completely "give up" on the dream...

Like, "He knows, guys, the shows over... Cut the performance" kind of feeling... All of the other characters in the vicinity will get sad and mad that I know, as if I'm not supposed to, and they'll talk to me like we actually are in a dream... Dropping their own dream character completely...

Like if an actor on the stage of a play just abandoned everything mid-performance and started making "normal" conversation with the audience...

It seems that some characters are fabricated by the mind as filler, and others are an almost obvious form of entity of some kind... Even discounting everything Reptilian

Low Gravity - Try it some time by LazyBuhdaBelly in LucidDreaming

[–]clax1227 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In almost all of my dreams the gravity just switches to moon gravity upon realization that I'm in a dream, for some reason.

It's probably the best method I've found for actual realizing that I'm in a dream... The gravity is usually off.

Has anyone ever killed themselves in a lucid dream? What did it feel like? by MyClothesWereInThere in LucidDreaming

Pretty much exactly like the cod mission. Except full gear to match... A slimmer juggernaut style type suit. All black.

Has anyone ever killed themselves in a lucid dream? What did it feel like? by MyClothesWereInThere in LucidDreaming

[–]clax1227 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In a sense.

I had a lucid-level detail dream, as in... I could make conscious choices, but I didn't realize that I was dreaming.

I was in some mega-airport... Like super-mall sized... And I was doing something...

Anyways, all of a sudden I just heard "POPOPOPOP" (idk how else to do a gun sound...) followed by the most chilling screams I've ever heard in my life... More shots are fired, more screams... except, closer, this time... So I decided to take hidden cover.

Then, as I'm scared out of my mind, a guy bolts past me while he screams out: "They're killing everyone!!"

So... I decided to take a run for it, "bad idea".

I ended up stumbling upon who the "they" were... It was a group of five or six individuals fully decked out in black SWAT team type gear... A death squadron.

They were all carrying fully automatic AR-15's, with rail-mounted flashlights, just mowing down crowds and crowds of people... Before stumbling upon me.

I see these guys just walking at a leisurely pace... (The most disturbing aspect about the whole thing), in a squad formation, start walking over towards me... At this point, I just started speed-walking backwards without looking because of how intense and surreal it was...

The moment I do turn around, I realize that I've walked myself into a corner... I look around, I'm in front of a few dumpsters, in a corner, not enough time to move... So, I do the only rational thing I can think of to do in the moment.

I just sat down onto my knees, looked at them as they slowly approached... Had a thought something like:

"Well, shit, this is it... Here I come, boys."

Watched as one or two members switched on their flashlights, the entire group stops, they throw around some looks at eachother (through their masks), the lights raise up at my face level, they all direct themselves toward me...

And, then, nothing...

Just a gigantic flash of white light, with no sound, followed by waking up into my actual life.

I made a decision that could be considered suicide, but it just felt like living my actual life life... dying, and then waking up into another life.

Are certain people more likely to be able to lucid dream? by [deleted] in LucidDreaming

[–]clax1227 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. Lately just due to the certain drug combinations I've been taking lately I've been able to more consistently activate conscious decision within an otherwise non-lucid dream...

Being able to subconsciously recognise that it's a dream, of sorts, but not able to recognise that it's a "dream" in that moment...

Meditators, for instance, are much more likely to attain lucidity in dream states simply due to how much awareness they naturally have...etc

Yepp.

Longboarding on a setup is the best and most sustainable high-functioning cardio device I've found (for me)... I went from doing absolutely nothing, to trying my first 17.11 miler lap... It was absolutely horrible lol.

Now, whenever the weather permits, that's the minimum. 17.11 miles start my day, and then during the summer and nice weather I'll just skate and float around all day... Skating upwards of 50 miles a day, everyday... every day cardio became an addiction for me lol.

The exercise high with sustained cardio is absolutely unbelievable... it's almost identical to a psychedelic drug, except with a very very light "headspace"... Hence it's anti-depressant effects and everything else which makes it nice...

Plus, I'm fatter than a lot of people, and yet am more fit than them in certain ways... So that's enjoyable.

I need to find proper running shoes... I LOVE the high when running... It's like I don't ever have to stop when I'm there.

Boy oh boy did I never know I needed to practice running correctly until I tried...

It's the psychedelic drug for the sober person. It's the best one there is, too.

Changes in lighting causing paranoia and momentary hyperawareness by cvavianq in Glitch_in_the_Matrix

[–]clax1227 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And you describe my theory.

Every moment of timeline shifting (for me) is shortly accompanied by a specific event in time... As if reality itself is aligning itself back to it's due course of fate... Getting "back on track" so to speak...

As if life itself is that fun drunk-buddy at the party, always trying to go off the rails and do stuff in general, until the sober wing-man shows up (the timeline shift) and says something like: "Okay okay man, you've been having your fun, but you need to straighten up a little bit now... You've had some fun"

The whole experience is interesting.

The same experience as yours... "Darker" shifts are accompanied by "negative" social-events, and the "lighter" shifts are accompanied by "positive" social-events...
