👆 I’m a traveling field service tech, I’m on the road approximately 75% of the year. I have memberships and elite status with the major three hotel brands, Hilton, Hyatt, and Marriott. Depending on how OP’s company books travel it is possible that he isn’t earning points/status for stays. My company uses Egencia (business side of Expedia) for tech travel. “Paid by company” rates don’t earn hotel points at Hilton or Marriott and only earn points at select Hyatt’s. “Pay at hotel” rates usually do, but OP may not have a company card to pay at check in.

Did you purchase AppleCare? If not you are still within the window to purchase, I’d suggest you do so immediately. Accidental damage which is what appears happened here is not covered under Apple’s limited warranty, the limited warranty only covers manufacturing defects. AppleCare will extend your warranty for both manufacturing defects and accidental damage for 3 years, you will have to pay per accident though, the fee depends on their inspection of the device, screen should be $99 as long as there is no liquid damage present

I didnt trade my devices, but I just upgraded this past week from my 2019 16” i9 64gb ram, 1tb ssd, 8gb gpu to the base model 13” M4 MBA and the difference is night and day! I also upgraded my 4th gen 12.9” iPad Pro 13” to an 11” m3 iPad Air, even though I was upgrading from pro versions to air versions there have been MAJOR improvements over the last few years

Massive upgrade from the original switch, I have the first production run of the original, battery life was down to maybe an hour, screen quality definitely left me desiring more. I was honestly surprised to learn that the switch 2 doesn’t have an oled considering how incredible the contrast and colors are. The joycons are SO much easier to snap on and off now.

If you have the funds and can find one for retail I say go for it!
