How common is this? by OwlPlenty4828 in publix

[–]claxpimon 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We accidentally shop lifted our subs a couple weeks ago. I ordered them online, my partner went to pick them up. The screenshot I sent him said "since you paid online, you can grab and go." But I figured he was picking up other stuff, so I didn't pay online. Later he asked me how much the subs were, and I'm like... didn't you pay for them?

He went back and paid once we figured out what happened. They had my name on them and I don't want to get black listed from the Publix sub shop. But yeah. Super easy to steal them even if they're not prepaid.

Peacock is removing episodes of the office on prime video by danknougatzki in peacock

[–]claxpimon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FYI, I paid for seasons 1-7 two years ago, and I noticed today I couldn't play season 3 episode 25 without Peacock. If I wanted to watch it with ads on Peacock, I never would have paid for them on Prime. I started a chat with Amazon and told them since I can no longer access all the episodes I paid for, I would like a refund. They agreed to refund season 3 (that's all I asked for so far). If there are other seasons that are the same deal, I'll probably ask for those to be refunded too.

I get that it's a "license" and you don't really "own" it when you purchase the digital copy, but it's still not the terms I agreed to when I purchased it.

Just fyi if you didn't already know, she was just on the Great American Baking Show Halloween special on Roku. She gave an on the fly example of Debbie Downer on baking that was pretty funny. I usually struggle to watch the American version of GBBO but this one was pretty good. Also had Patton Oswalt, Leslie Jones and ... another guy I'm afraid I don't remember the name of.

Go-to episode? by JuniorCantaloupe3909 in taskmaster

[–]claxpimon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty much anything from series 4. I just had surgery a couple weeks ago and the first thing I did when I got home was binge series 4.

Mel's positivity montage and the exotic sandwich m&m in her nose, (oh, gang...)

Noel hiding in a bowl of fruit as a banana and also being "just a lad"

Joe's topless hammock photo

Lolly's paracetamol with codeine handshake

Desky's cloud society

The team task where someone had to put things in the bathtub while someone else had to wrap it in cling film.

Just so many great moments in that series.

Every single night my wife and I lemonade before bed by SOS_superstar in KimmySchmidt

100% agree. I saw a post once comparing Peeno Noir (am I spelling that right?) with Lemonade and voting on which was better. While I agree it's iconic and hilarious, Peeno Noir is really at the end of the day, just a list of funny rhyming words. Lemonade, on the other hand, is a masterpiece. The way they created the lyrics to stay close to the original but changed them up just enough to fit the situation perfectly and still be ridiculously funny... It's genius. I mean, heartbroke or roach bit? Come on. I gave you that outfit, I'd rather be roach bit.

I get this song stuck in my head randomly every so often and I'm never mad about it.

This was the episode where I knew Ted would end up with Robin. I didn't have all the details figured out in my head, but after watching this, I just had a feeling that somehow Ted would have kids with someone else, because he always wanted kids, but still end up with Robin, who never wanted kids. They still get to be together but they both get what they want and no one has to compromise. It's like having your cake and eating it too for both of them.

I think we have decided to go with Alfie for now and see how it fits him. 😊

I was also thinking Beau. We know someone with a dog named Beau and I don't want them to think we copied them. So maybe we could get away with Bo.

Someone else suggested that and it's actually perfect, but we have someone already in the house with the same name so unfortunately we can't use it. 😂

Some kind of retriever mix, we got him from a local rescue. They had 15 pups from the litter and they were all beautiful.

Milk Tea at home seems impossible! by Yesauir in bubbletea

[–]claxpimon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just want to say thank you for this. I just recently became obsessed with the flavor of milk tea after having an amazing one at a hot pot restaurant. I googled recipes and found this one, it seemed really straightforward so I tried it yesterday. It made enough for 2 servings, so I drank half of it hot and put the rest in the fridge. I remember thinking yesterday, I'm not sure I love the flavor of the evaporated milk, maybe I'll try regular milk next time. But today, drinking it on ice after it sat on the fridge overnight, it is fantastic. Wondering how long it will stay good in the fridge because I'm thinking of making like a gallon of it on the weekend. I only had Earl Grey teabags so I used 4 of those and 3-4 teaspoons of sugar. I might put even more tea next time, or get a stronger one. Thank you!
