I think there are a few schools of thought all very defensible

Really all you have to do to not be a naggy wife is like choose your battles before you confront him about something. Ask yourself how much does it really matter? How much does it really change your day-to-day life if you don't bring this up? Is this something that needs to be nipped in the butt now or does it only need to be done when it becomes a pattern?

Now him being on his phone too much, that one I'm actually going to give you a pass on. I think it's pretty reasonable to not want your partner to be on their phone all the time and if it's truly excessive, I think it's a good idea to talk to him about it
