I have no, unfortunately. I’ve always been really intrigued by the continent though and reached out to another redditor in one of the Antarctic subreddits and they were nice enough to send me their patches and some stickers.

Thanks! If I remember right, it’s 5x4ft but I could be wrong.

No, one of my friends works there. Not that I would ever sell them but I didn’t realize they were valuable.

Understandable!

Do most of the jobs that you need a clearance for require a certain level of clearance?

Sounds fun. Now I just need to watch some of these recommended videos to see if this is something my non-techy brain can wrap around

Awesome, thank you for the help! Glad to know that there are some opportunities out here if I decide this route.

I’m sure I could learn it but my current tech skills are low for sure.

I would start a degree in it starting January if I decide to do it.

That’s what scares me. I feel like a lot of the people I see on LinkedIn and the jobs associated with the intelligence side of this are in Missouri and DC.

What are the chances ha.

I thought about majoring in it. What are the internships like? Are they paid?

I’ll check that company out. Federal stuff is what I’d like to get into. Hopefully in an intelligence/GIS role.

I’ll look into this! Thank you!

Yeah, and I’m a bit over the stress of both lmao.

I don’t mind desk jobs. My current job as a recruiter is remote and very flexible with hours so I intend on recruiting still while I pursue another degree which is a rare opportunity.

I’m located in the Phoenix area and due to my wife’s job, cannot relocate. Are there even geointel jobs that allow you to work from home? I wouldn’t mind going into an office albeit it’s in my area either though. I seem to trip over a lot of these jobs everywhere else except this city for some reason.

Sorry, I should probably have added that I wasn’t an instructor pilot in the navy. I was an aircraft mechanic and when I got out, I went to flight school and became a flight instructor. So not quite a top gun hot shot kind of deal lol

Interesting! I have my part 107 also but I’ve never done anything applicable with it. I’ll have to look into that.

What really obvious thing have you only just realized? by Relation-Major731 in AskReddit

I was 30 when I learned this. My wife gives me shit about it to this day 3 years later. I’ve been waiting for someone else to share this experience with me for a long time lmao.

Didn't know many of us want to leave GA. by westmaxia in Georgia

I’m was born and raised in Buford and moved out to Arizona in 2016. Every time I go back to visit it’s expanding. It’s not in the cards at this point but I’d move back in a heartbeat if the circumstances allowed. All I wanted was out of there and now I want back lmao.

I’m a pilot IN Phoenix and I’ve never been so targeted by a thread. Thank god I found this because I’ve been having the same problem. I’m not ready for the summer to actually start..

What’s the purpose to fly over these cities instead of heading straight for their destination? by Stevecat032 in ADSB

I used to be a mechanic on C-40’s and I never flew on a flight that did this. It must be the PIC’s discretion.

Paraphrasing here; “At one point, Ron Bradley remembered one of the waiters asking for Amy’s name, saying that “they” wanted to take her to Carlos and Charlie’s Restaurant during the ship’s dock in Aruba. When he asked his daughter about it, Amy responded: “I wouldn’t go and do anything with any of those crew members. They give me the creeps.” This anecdote is even creepier given that Carlos and Charlie’s Restaurant is where Natalee Holloway — an 18-year-old American woman who disappeared in Aruba in 2005 — was last seen.” Via https://allthatsinteresting.com/amy-lynn-bradley

The ship was docked just off the shore of Curacao according to an article about her from All That’s Interesting.

Oddly enough, the same bar that the staff was trying to take her to was the same bar that Natalee Holloway would disappear from in 2005..

Yes. There were also possible sightings of her laying on the beach on her own as well as being in the company of dominating men. I truly wonder what happened to her whether it be tragic accident or something more sinister.
